Ok ok ok… so the chosen headshot wasn’t the one I thought it would be. 😂

But WOW! What a resounding response from everyone!

Thank you so much for all the interaction, opinions and genuinely helpful replies. It was brilliant to see how differently people responded to each image and, actually, really interesting from a photographer’s perspective too.

So, in a slightly unexpected turn of events, I’ve ended up with three images I absolutely love (and I can use all three for different purposes).

But officially, my profile image is getting an upgrade (finally) and this is exactly why I love creating headshots that go beyond simply looking “professional”.

A great headshot should tell you something about the person in it, about their personality, their brand & their attitude (maybe even their sense of humour).

At SCG Photography, creating images that actually feel like you rather than just another corporate headshot against a grey wall is a big part of what I do.

Sometimes that means sitting nicely and looking professional and sometimes it means getting into a few slightly more… interesting positions in the studio. 😏📸

Running a business is often a whirlwind of early mornings, late nights and plenty of behind-the-scenes work, so moments like this are a wonderful reminder to stop and celebrate how far the journey has come.

Why is this one so special?

Well there are a few reasons actually…

First and foremost, this very special limited edition watch been created to commemorate the 65th anniversary of Porsche Club GB (Founded in 1961, Porsche Club GB is the only UK club officially recognised by Porsche AG)! It has grown into a nationwide community built on shared passion not just for incredible cars but also for the people and stories behind them. 🙌

Secondly, it marks the first collaboration project between BOMBERG and Porsche Club GB - What started as a series of racing inspired shoots naturally grew into something more and as Porsche Club GB approached its 65th anniversary, a collaboration with BOMBERG felt like a natural fit. Both brands are rooted in strong communities, driven by individuality, personality, and a genuine passion for what they do. 👌

Third, the watch itself throws a nod to the new Porsche Club GB branding which team SCG had the honour of being involved with creating last year and it’s so awesome to see the fruits of this rebrand come to life and reflected in this commemorative watch design! ⌚️

Fourth and finally, one of my favourite things about my job is PEOPLE - meeting new people & making awesome connections - it is one of my absolute joys in life to work with great people and both Bomberg and Porsche Club GB have such amazing teams and people we have worked with over the last few years as individual clients of mine so it seemed like a natural progression to introduce them and it’s been a total thrill to work with everyone all together on this project! 👏

It goes without saying that nothing happens without a great team so huge thanks must also go to the uber talented team without whom, none of these projects would be possible! 🙌

Sometimes, it’s simply about bringing the right people together and letting the synergy do the rest. 👍

Watching all that hard work, vision, and craftsmanship come together is always something special.
