35mm film scans back from Kingscote Barn Wedding venue with Luxury Accommodation today with the stunning Jess in her MADI LANE BRIDAL | Wedding Dresses

In all honesty, I wasn’t sure this film would even work, so it felt a bit risky 🫣
I’ve had it in the fridge for around 24years! I used to process my own B&W a long time ago when I was studying so had some surplus which has been using up the top shelf for all that time.

I picked it out for Jess & Tobie after our chats and Jess had sent me a mood board which lent towards B&W images, otherwise I’d have just opted for the safer Porta400. Really love the variation here and that there is no colour version. I found this year, there’s a lot of cutting/choppjng/editing to get the pictures ‘perfect’ (heads-up, there’s no such thing) but the lush thing with this is, this is the beginning and the end.

Kathryn and Chris’ black tie wedding at Ivy Lodge in Cirencester yesterday was an utter joy!

What a venue too! It’s lush to go somewhere new but it runs with the same, recognisable down to earth refinement of the Cripps group. And wow, the food! Heck, this maybe tipping to tables. Insane.

I’m always so grateful to be in a room full of medics. Makes me feel very humble and they’re guaranteed to know how to have a good time!

So blown away by the ease and simplicity of this little flash. It has its limitations but it was set up in seconds and was a work horse for its first outing.

I’ve tried to 🔗 it but just search GODOX IT32 and to make sure you have the trigger for your base too. Mine was the X5c for Canon

Rackleys Barn was THE most stunning backdrop for such a considered and joyful summer wedding with & harrybarr . Rum punch fuelled, incredible creative modesty involved, beautiful beyond words and an absolute treat to be part of.

Alina and Harry wanted focus to be on the fun and the people. Less time spent fussing and more spent immersed. After the quaintness of a village church ceremony and as much confetti as you can fit inside an XC90, they were marched in by the very fun Big Smoke Brass - UK .
It was a lovely and unique way to bring energy into their drinks. You forgot it was hot and just danced.

Alina wore a wonderful 3 piece from Sassi Holford with detachable over skirt and lace for her shoulders, moving the dress to seamlessly fit in with the day.

They wrote personalised notes, illustrated by the talented and embroidered every single colourful napkin. All topped off by the gorgeous blooms from Blossom&Ivy

It’s been so great to hear from couples who’d like to add in some 35mm film. With the craziness of AI and everything being made as ‘perfect’ as possible, it can give you a beautiful imperfectness that hits differently.

I’ve been playing about with some 35mm this year and am loving the anticipation that comes with not knowing how they will look and trying to be more considered when I’m shooting.

Also experimented with 5 different cameras and labs as they can all affect the film differently but I’ve loved working with for the last few rolls!

Brought forward by a year and organised in 4 weeks. Truly capturing the importance of love and family ❤️
Such an important chapter on Friday and one that I feel so touched to have been trusted to capture.
