After 20 incredible years behind the camera, I’m closing my photography business — and soon I’ll be deleting and selling off my gazillion TBs of hard drives! 😱 Your wedding memories could be gone forever. ❤️
From my very first photography job at 17 to photographing thousands of weddings, engagements, and family moments — it’s been an unforgettable journey.
I’ve seen it all: brides tumbling down stairs, dresses destroyed by red wine (and occasionally vomit!), page boys with no trousers walking down the aisle in their PJs, guests stuck on motorways or trapped in lifts (a big thanks to the firemen turning up in full uniform)
I’ve watched groomsmen drop the bride during the classic “carry shot,” and the Dirty Dancing lift go spectacularly wrong.
I’ve even seen a guest pass out cold — full plank — right in front of the bride as she walked down the aisle!
⚠️ Cautionary note to wedding guests: please don’t go commando and then attempt the limbo — that was quite the surprise in the edit 😳
Through it all, nearly every wedding I’ve photographed has been amazing… well, except for that one wedding I would never, ever do again — let’s just say it’s a story for another time! 😂
I’ve photographed massive weddings with hundreds of guests, and tiny ones with just two people. And every single one (well, almost every one 😉) had the same thing in common… love.
It’s truly been the best job in the world — to witness so much joy, connection, and emotion.
But behind the scenes, my anxiety has slowly been getting the better of me. The lead-up to weddings, the pressure to deliver, and the endless work afterwards have meant that while I still adore the moments I capture, I’m no longer happy doing it.
