“For me, the faded faces are memories; echoes of people and moments that have softened with time. There’s melancholy in them, but the vibrant colours and chaotic brushstrokes reflect how life’s randomness still feels beautiful. I need to accept the past is the past, yes it’s still there, and sometimes it haunts me, and this painting reflects that those darker memories are there, but the colour and the vibrancy dominates, so that at first glance, all we see are happy, bright colours. Onwards.”
