I shared in my stories last week that a few changes are coming to my brand packages.

I have been busy working behind the scenes on how I plan to offer my storytelling films going forwards. My hope is that I will be able to offer something to brands of all kinds & sizes, in terms of what’s included, be it my pricing, my time, skills, and optional extras (yes reels).

Everything will be going live on the 1st November 2022. So I’m sharing again just in case anyone missed it before!

For any brands who have maybe enquired about a film but not booked in just yet or paid a deposit, now is the time to have another think about things ✨

It’s always hard to bring changes in, especially with the world as crazy as it is right now, but films are an important part of my business (& frankly, my life), and they really do receive so much love, care & attention from me every single time I pick up my camera and press that record button, so it’s time that my packages supported that! ❤️

I’ve said it before, but I am not the biggest fan of pumpkin picking (I know I know 😬!) BUT this morning we woke up, my eldest asked if we could go and the meant that I didn’t want to say no!

Anyway, we got to , and honestly it was so nice, lots of space (& parking), beautiful blue skies, a farming activity book for the kids all about where food comes from 👍, LOTS of pumpkins of all varieties, not overly Americanised, a coffee shop for the tired adults (supplied by - their pumpkin cake was so good, I would definitely recommend👌) and there was even a little lucky dip for the kids which is just so nostalgic of school fairs when I was younger so was the final tick in the box for me ✨

may well have gone and changed my opinion on the whole thing!! 👍Bring on the pumpkins!!

I’m thinking about starting a festoon lighting fan club - anyone with me??? 🤪

I bought what feels like miles of this pretty circus style lighting for my wedding and it’s sat in a box (in between being lent to friends & family) for years now & I finally dusted it off and strung some up in my garden for the winter. Sometimes such a little thing can go a long way in the finding joy stakes!

I shot this photo whilst trying out on a new journey with flash (with the help of & ) - if you don’t know I shoot in natural light 99.9% of the time but I’ve wanted to add flash to my skills bank for a little while now. Always learning, always improving, always finding new ways to do things!

Shooting earlier this morning with a lovely local business, meetings and editing carrying on through this afternoon. A perfect plan for a Wednesday (even though I can’t actually believe it’s already Wednesday)!

Some baby feet as I know we all love them! 🦶

And I thought I would also take the opportunity to explain some general housekeeping info about what my “working hours” are?

So some weeks if feels like I “work” 24/7 quite frankly 😂, but I’m trying to put more balance in place between work and family life! A rough guide…

Monday - Thursdays (generally between 9-4) are set aside for newborn photo shoots, brand filming days, editing, and all of the admin which comes with running a business, including replying to emails / messages / DMs / WhatsApp etc etc.

Fridays are my day “off” with my youngest daughter so whilst I may pop in on socials I won’t be checking my emails & messages as regularly, if at all.

And then finally, Saturdays and Sundays are for family shoot days and importantly, time with my own little family.

I wanted to explain, so that no one ever thinks I’m ignoring them / not being responsive because I promise you that I’m not doing that! If you email on a Friday night, I promise I will be working hard first thing on Monday morning to get back to you!! ❤️

And if you have a shoot on a weekend then rest assured I am always available to talk beforehand in case any urgent issues come up or we are on 🌩⛈🌧weather watch!

This film trailer was made with the lovely ❤️ We made it in black and white which only adds to the elegance of this beautiful brand. If only Instagram had smell-o-vision as these candles are just 👌

Conker (& T-Rex) season has begun!

I’ve spent a lot of today working through admin. The side of running a business which is not so glamorous, but also a necessity.

My website has needed some updates for a while so it’s been nice to finally sit down and get started.

Will explain more about the changes coming soon.

It felt right that after a day following me around (via my stories) whilst I worked on brand film related things, that I share a brand film.

So here is a film I made with earlier in the year, capturing Raquel creating her beautiful handmade ceramics.

Raquel’s studio is one of the most perfectly organised & colour coordinated studios that I have ever been to. She has an eye for the little details which you can see in all of her glazed pieces, each one uniquely it’s own.

I really enjoy making these films and I feel really lucky to be getting a view in to the behind the scenes of so many artisan crafts.

Lots of things happening over the next few days, prepping storyboards for two upcoming films, shooting a newborn session and a event, and then I am hoping to make a start on editing a brand film for the beautiful . Always feel lucky that this is my job now ✨

And then when all of that lovely stuff is done, I have my littlest back with me and the wonderful chaos of family life, restarts again ❤️!

The weeks are flying past at the moment. I haven’t managed to utter the C word yet, but it’s definitely looming, especially when you wander the shops and see decorations & advent calendars on the shelves!! 🙃

Happy Sunday!

We are immensely lucky to have a whole 24 hours of childcare!! I know!!

Started our afternoon with coffee and a mooch around where we live (you can’t ever properly mooch with kids in tow - am I right!?!), heading for a late Sunday lunch and then the cinema tonight. I can’t remember the last time I went to the cinema to see anything non-Disney and Pixar related so what.a.treat!!

Hope you are enjoying your weekend so far. Going to enjoy some time off with the husband and will be back here again after the bank holiday! ❤️
