Come and join MVA at Bligh Primary School on Thursday 22nd October for a fantastic Family Fun Day!

The event is open to children and family members of all ages, and it is completely free to attend.

It is going to be a brilliant day filled with fun, games, and friendly chats. It’s also a wonderful opportunity for you to share your thoughts on sports and activities in our local area to help shape future community projects.

They are running 2 sessions, so please choose the time that suits you best:

Back by popular demand, I’m pleased to be bringing back Medway Community Photowalks with Tempo Time Credits throughout October Half Term!

As part of the Pathways to the Past and Future programme, supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, we’ll be running a further series of free Community Photography Walks across Medway’s.

These relaxed, welcoming sessions are open to everyone, whether you’re picking up a camera for the first time or already enjoy photography. Bring a camera or simply use your smartphone as we explore the people, places and stories that make Medway unique.

Along the way, you’ll:
- Discover Medway’s heritage, hidden gems and local character
- Explore parks, public spaces and neighbourhoods from a fresh perspective
- Meet new people and connect with your community
- Learn simple photography techniques and creative storytelling skills

Walk dates:
🗓️ Saturday 24th October (11am–1pm) – Rochester (Outside Rochester Cathedral)
🗓️ Monday 26th October (10am–12pm) – Chatham (The Historic Dockyard Chatham)
🗓️ Wednesday 28th October (1pm–3pm) – Hoo Peninsula (Grain Beach Car Park)

These walks encourage residents to explore their local area through a creative lens while discovering the stories, heritage and community spaces that contribute to Medway's identity. The walks are designed to be relaxed, welcoming and suitable for all levels of experience.

Suitable for professional photographers, students, hobbyists or anyone interested in spending time exploring their local area. Images can be captured using either a digital camera or a smartphone, ensuring that the activity remains accessible to everyone.
