Just back from a 10 night trip to the Lake District with a short stopover in Bakewell to visit Chatsworth House. So lucky with the weather and plenty of opportunities to take photographs. Lots of enjoyable hikes even with a backpack heaving with camera kit! These are some of my favourite shots from the trip.

Trying out a new 85mm F1.2 lens which has amazingly shallow depth of field and great bokah - with a bit of post processing to juice them up a little!

Another before and after photoshop processing shot - this time of the early morning (very early!) mist in the valley taken from the window of our bedroom. A few tweaks really help give the photograph a bit more pop.

This is my first "paying" commision - to take some advertising pictures for a friends holiday home in Carbis Bay, St Ives. The "payment" was a week in the house whilst I took the photos. This is a small selection of the results. Now just need other holiday homes/hotels to do who will let me stay for free!!
