Nant Y Moch - there is something surreal about walking in the middle of an almost dried out reservoir. Kinda hits home how dry it's been this summer. This was the first place i took my wife for a walk back in March and she bagged Pumlumon...safe to say there was far more water in the reservoirs back then! This is simialr to 2018 and 2020 but its the emptiest ive seen it tbh fans

Few from an epic 17 miler last Saturday up the Black mountains..must admit i've never truly appreciated Bannau Brycheiniog and ive done the majority of mountains here but wow some of these views are something else. Delighted to see Pumlumon in the distance, standing proud some 40 miles away. As you can see the ground is so dry and we saw the remnants of wild fires and a couple of new ones starting up - crazy times as we drove through Rhayder and saw the damage the fire had done there and had spread for miles, even reaching the road in places. Forecasts say there are more hot days to come! fans

The eclipse - but no photos of the eclipse itself - just of the people and what a show we got. In super warm temperatures the beach was as busy as ive seen it in a many year. The vibe down there was awesome - a lot of smiling faces even though there were no glasses. It was pretty cool how it got darker and there was a quietness about the area despite the 100s of people milling around. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience, the atmosphere and the lush weather. Been a great summer :) fans

few from a great trip to Eisteddfod Y Gareg Las last week - a wonderful festival celebrating Welsh language, culture and music and much more in a week long event - sadly i only was there for a few hours but will definitely go back next year. It travels around and alternates between North and South. next year it's in Glantwymyn which is near Machynlleth. fans

one of the best views ive seen from the road in Wales - This is on the back road that takes you close the Aran's on the way to Dinas Mawddwy after visiting Llyn Efrynwy a few weeks back, honestly the camera doesnt do it justice - i suspect the grass isnt so green now either fans - have a feeling the mountain range in the distance may well be Pumlumon and the cambrian mountains though not overly confident!

Been lovely showing my wife around and this walk was a blast from the past as it's where i went to school all those years ago - it dig up some old memories thats for sure - Aberaeron is a lovely town, pleasant on the eye too and i had forgotten the fine views you get when looking north - i am imagine on a clear day the mountain views of Eryri are stunning!

beautiful sunset last night - thought id take Ditha down South Beach and show her the old Victorian swimming pool. We were fortunate enough to have a low tide. You can get some really nice pictures down here if the conditions are right and this came out nicely fans

lovely walk with my wife, Ditha, on Thursday down at New Quay on what was a glorious sunny day...loving this hot spell of weather even if it does get a bit too hot sometimes. New Quay is a beautiful seaside resort which has great views of the mountains of Eryri much further North of there, sadly it was a bit hazy but can imagine on a clear day its an immense view. We got the bus from Aber and spent around 3 hours there and had scampi and chips as a lunchtime treat! fans
