🌅 A Peaceful Sunrise Over Carrickfergus
Sometimes it’s good just to slow down and watch the world go by.
As the sun rises over Carrickfergus.The morning light stretches across the sky, and for a few moments everything feels peaceful and still.
Life seems to pass us by so quickly. Days become weeks, weeks become years, and we’re always thinking about what needs done next.
But mornings like this are a reminder to stop for a moment, look around and enjoy what’s right in front of us.
No rush. No noise. Just Carrickfergus at sunrise. 🌅

🟢 What’s happening to Lough Neagh?
Blue-green algae at Antrim Lough Shore — covering the water in places, affecting wildlife and bringing an awful smell to the shoreline.
It’s shocking to see one of our most popular beauty spots looking like this.

📸 ANTRIM LOUGH SHORE – A TROUBLING SIGHT
A few of my photos from Antrim Lough Shore and Lough Neagh.
Normally a beautiful place for walking, wildlife and enjoying the water, but sadly these photos show a very different side of the Lough.
The blue-green algae is once again clearly visible along the shoreline, affecting both the appearance of the water and the wildlife that depends on it. Just recently, two swans became trapped in algae at Antrim Lough Shore, prompting a major rescue operation.
It’s incredibly sad to see such an important part of Northern Ireland’s landscape in this condition.
