✨ Carys and Jo Forman!!!! ✨

What a wedding!!!! ✨

It's truly special being trusted to capture weddings, and an extra notch more so when it's a dear friend of yours getting married! ✨ A friendship made during a night time camp game (if you know, you know) is a bond that goes deep 😂 and I couldn't be more happy for Carys in finding her lovely Jo ❤️

Carys and Jo celebrated their wedding at Penuel Church in Carmarthen, followed by the very lovely The Olde Barns at Penygraig ⛪️

It was a joy to see so many happy family members and friends surrounding this gorgeous couple on their wedding day - I feel so blessed to know them and watch life unfold for them ✨

Llongyfarchiadau ar eich priodas! 🥳

Big thanks to Joel Baxter for second shooting with me 📸✨

CALLING ALL FAMILIES, COUPLES, INDIVIDUALS AND THEIR DOGS! 🐕

✨📷 Family Photo Sessions 📷✨

October 24th - October 31st

Family Photo Sessions this October half term - £200

- 1 hour photography at a location of your choice
- 60+ high resolution professionally retouched photographs on wooden USB
- 10x 6x4” prints
- 2x 8x6” prints
- all presented in a beautiful wooden keepsake box containing above prints and USB
- online gallery to share with family and friends with the facility to purchase extra prints delivered straight to your door

I am super excited to be offering family photo sessions during October half term!

Autumn is my favourite time fo year to take family photos - this is the season when we break out the jackets, boots, scarves and hats as the leaves turn to those beautifully warm autumnal colours, whilst some crunch under our feet. We can play outside in the low golden sun, and when the chill gets in, we can warm up with hot chocolates and blankets and cosy up in front of the fire.

My family photo sessions are relaxed and natural, feature the great outdoors and you and your loved ones enjoying it. We will meet at a Carmarthenshire location of your choice and go for a wander. I’ll snap away in the background capturing all the magic moments, and prompting some shots where necessary.

Once our time is up, I’ll take your photos home, polish them up with a professional retouch and upload them to an online gallery where you can view, share, download and print your photographs. You will also receive a beautiful wooden keepsake box, with all digital retouched images on a wooden USB, along with 10x 6x4” prints and 2x 8x6” prints nestled inside.

I have the feeling this will be a really lovely gift to yourselves after a funny old year so far - especially with the children having returned to school after such a long time with them at home. Capture some timeless family photographs of yourselves back together - a perfect way to spend time together during October half term, but also a great way to generate lovely Christmas gifts for Grandparents and other family members. Additional keepsake boxes available at an extra cost with this in mind.

Get in touch to book - limited availability.

*Photoshoots must take place outside and practice social distancing*

I can’t wait to hear from you!

Back in November 2019, Bethel Church, Carmarthen held a fun filled auction evening to help raise funds towards the new church building, Hill House! 🥳

I donated a family shoot to the auction and it was super fun to listen to the bidding and try to follow who would be the highest bidder! 🤓

Carol was eager to gift a photoshoot to her daughter Bethan and family, who thus far, had told me my photos were very lovely but that they just don't do photos as a family. Carol had other plans for them!! 😂

On Bank Holiday Monday, I visited Bethan and her boys at their home in Cynwyl Elfed and we went for a wander whilst catching up and taking photos as we went. For a bunch of boys that don't really like having their photo taken, I don't think we did too badly!

I have some family shoot announcements coming soon, keep an eye out! ✋☺️

Lovely little Nahla Pippin turned 1 in May - getting a present sorted during lockdown wasn't going to be easy, plus with time on my hands I decided I was going to make something ✋🎁

I turned to the fabric stash and found a lovely linen style tablecloth in a natural tone and followed the smock dress pattern by Tiny Design Patterns. I wanted to add some colour and cuteness and so I embroidered a flower on the bodice ☺️🌼

Amy kindly brought Nahla round for a portrait in her new dress once we were allowed to meet again! I am so pleased how well it fits and how sweet she looks in it 🥰

Oh gosh! Is anyone else still reeling a bit from the severe difference between lockdown and now? It's gone from quiet to busy to next level busy here! I am absolutely loving being back to work, being able to see friends and go out to the beach but it has left little time to keep my attention here! 🤭

So, I'm going to get back to it and tell you a little bit about what I kept busy with during lockdown! You already guessed it, gardening and baking sourdough! Two things I've always wished to have more hours in the week for, and I feel really blessed to have been able to give them both a proper go during lockdown 👊

Of course, like many others, I once again have little time for them, but thankfully the garden is still producing the last of it's fruits and the silver lining to this rain is that I'm hardly having to water it! 🤷‍♀️

In sourdough news... well. We can be happy that Bara Menyn is back open 🤷‍♀️🥳

Here's a shot of the garden in July when everything looked 👌 along with a shot of my sourdough! 🍞

And now I'm back to work, I'm looking forward to bringing you new content soon too 💥

Happy Anniversary to my dear friends Anna and Stephen! 🎉

Can I write 'I can't believe that was a year ago!' whilst also feeling that I can totally believe this was a year ago!? 2020 is an odd year so we'll roll with it! 🤷‍♀️

I don't think I could have dreamt up a more fitting wedding day for these two if I'd tried. A couple with a big love for the outdoors, for God and for their friends and family. I will always remember this day with such fondness and guys, I hope you are doing something really nice today to celebrate ✨

Hey everyone!

3 months later I think I am well overdue a post to check in with you all!

At first I didn't know what to say, there was so much disappointment with weddings being postponed. It didn't feel right to post photos and advertise when there was some serious business going on in the world.

It seems now, there is some light at the end of the tunnel, and things *might* be getting a little less restrictive than they were. I wish everyone luck in coming out of their own individual lockdown bubbles, and hope that the ride isn't too bumpy for you.

Things here: almost all 2020 weddings have been postponed. That sucks, big time. I'm trying to stay positive, count my blessings and rely on my commercial work to see me through the year. The knock on effect of this is I am starting to get clashes for next year, and it feels like a punch in the heart every time it happens. Being an empathetic creature is so hard sometimes.

SO! A big pulling up of the socks - I'm very much deciding to be the optimist and I'm going to start posting and invite bookings for 2021. Despite experiencing some clashes, I do have a good selection of dates left and I'm excited to have a year that isn't full of disappointment!

So basically, it's been sad, I'm still here, I'm coming back, come on 2021, be better!

Sending love to all,

Heather xx

Hello everyone!

I think it’s important for me to show up and post something here to reassure my lovely couples who have wedding plans in the coming months.

Right now, things are up in the air, unpredictable and odd. But, as things stand, I still plan to photograph every wedding in my diary. I am following the government guidelines and taking measures to avoid becoming ill. In the worst case scenario that I become unwell and am unable to attend due to self isolation, you need to know that Carmarthenshire/Pembrokeshire photographers are a stunning bunch of people, and have all agreed to support each other and help out with covering bookings - what a blessing they are! ✨

However, as things are changing day by day, and with my first wedding postponement email in, I want to comment on this possibility too. If you need to postpone your wedding, then I am happy to transfer your booking fee to your new date. If this is happening for you, then please get in touch as soon as possible and we’ll get it sorted. As long as I’m available and well, I’m gonna be there 💥

This is an odd time for everyone and heartbreaking for those of you that do need to make new arrangements - so please do get in touch if you’re worrying about anything or just want to chat things through. I’d also like to extend my sympathy to all other self employed folk out there, this is tough but lets all support each other the best we can. Hopefully things will get back to normal sooner than we think, but in the mean time stay safe, stay wise, and stay hopeful.

Love to you all,

Heather x
