We've reached a milestone 150!

Over the years I've had the absolute pleasure of photographing 150 dogs*, 6 cats a bearded dragon and a snake!

I've photographed dogs who are bouncy, playful and energetic, dogs who are nervous, dogs who are curious and dogs who are determined. I've photographed puppies and young dogs and I've photographed elderly souls. Those with dietary or behavioural requirements, those who've had experienced a tough life before being rescued, those with hearing difficulties, those with poor eyesight or only one eye-on two occasions!! I've photographed tiny chihuahua's through to massive great Dane's and everything in-between! I've also had the pleasure of meeting many of you on multiple occasions as your gorgeous pups have graced my lens again! On top of all that I have had the pleasure of meeting some wonderful humans, some of whom I now call friends!

Each and every one of your pups has captured my heart in their own unique way. Thank you for choosing me to capture the precious memories of your babies.

I often get asked which my favourite photo- and the truth is I have so many that it's impossible to choose! Some are my favourites from a photography point of view where the combination of the weather and the location made for a perfect shot. Some I favour because of the expression the pet chose to pull! And some are just because that dog captured my heart!

Although this photo of Celt was taken a long time ago, it still ranks up there in my favourite photos for a combination of the reasons mentioned above like personality, lighting, location and the moments leading up to this photo. However, I've always been hesitate about showing this photo on social media, as the small screen of a phone or laptop doesn't do it justice, as those who have seen it in it's full glory as a beautiful piece of wall art can confirm.

But I wanted to tell you about the background to this photo. Although this photograph leads you to believe that Celt was positioned in this river and asked to stay there whilst I took the photograph, that couldn't be further from the truth. Celt was actually speed running through the water towards me at the time, when he paused for less than a second before running towards me again giving me a shower! But sometimes, all you need is a split second to capture their beauty.
And that is the reason this photo is just one of my favourites!

A tale of 7 tails...!

As I tell everyone, no matter how many dogs make up your family ALL DOGS are included in a photoshoot with me! And unlike other photographers I do not charge any extra for having more dogs included- they are all part of the family! I vividly remember the moment I said this to these doggies owners, both of whom then started beaming ear to ear, to which Rob replied "you'll regret saying that!" and then announced they had 7 dogs!

HOWEVER, Rob was WRONG... I don't regret a thing! It was a truly fabulous photoshoot. Each dog had their own wonderful personality as well as their own requirements; from super energetic and confident, to elderly and taking life at a gentler pace, to timid of others or a complete mummy's girl or the one who was questioning who on earth I was and did her pawrents know I was tagging along on their walk pointing a clicking thing at her?!
Every photo was tailored to suit the individual dog. The result = every dog's gorgeous character shining through in every photo.

There are now 7 beautiful pieces of artwork on their way to Rob and Anna ready to be displayed in their newly decorated room to be enjoyed for years to come.

Phew, hasn't it been a wet one today?!

Here's a shot from our event at Colby last March when Eloise started off the day with damp toes running through the wet grass! If you look closely you can see the water droplets spraying from the grass as she runs!

Today has been spent hunkered down with plenty of cups of tea editing some cuties, so keep an eye on your emails over the coming days!

When you're concentrating so hard you forget your tongue is sticking out!

Jax was such a brilliant model! A combination of collie intelligence and curiosity meant he nailed the shots with ease! This derpy poking out tongue was the result of Jax's curiosity over the interesting noise I just made to get his attention. You could see the cogs whirring in his brain wondering why and how I was making such an unusual noise! 😂

"We had an amazing session with Kathryn! I was a little nervous about the shoot, as I know our dogs can be a bit of a handful, as well as having the kids on top of that, but Kathryn was brilliant with the dogs, getting their attention, making it so much easier for me, I could totally relax!
She also managed to get some fab photos with us as a family!

I was so pleased with the individual photos of the dogs too, Kathryn really captured their little personalities, it made me quite emotional when I saw them!

I really love this photo of little Luna surveying her kingdom!

We are so lucky here in South West Wales to have such beautiful scenery, I love to incorporate the landscape into some of the shots. From beaches and woodlands to castles and mountains, we really are spoilt for choice when selecting the perfect photoshoot location.

EXCITED EARS!!

I'm an absolute sucker for a pair of excited ears! They seem to take on a life of their own! 😂 The reason I love them even so much is because the dog they are attached to is having an absolute BLAST, usually running full pelt towards their human to be greeted with a showering of love and maybe a treat or two!

Who else loves excited ears?
