A curious tale I shot for The Times for todays page three. The anonymous donation of 9 gold coins worth £30k left under the altar of St Wilfrid's Church in Melling Lancs in 2022. That were only discovered this Easter just as they were contemplating closing the church due to the cost of building repairs. Diocese of Blackburn

Another interesting job this past week on behalf of The Times.
I travelled to photograph Cumbrian farmer and countryside ranger Calum Stott, who not only lifts ancient heavy stones but is also researching their history and working to rediscover stones that may have been lost or forgotten over time. Calum is lifting a 96kg stone.
When does a stone become a rock and a rock become a boulder?
It's assignments like these that remind me why I love editorial photography. Every job is an opportunity to meet fascinating people and capture unique stories.

This week marks a significant milestone for me – 21 years as a professional photographer. Over that time, my career has evolved to encompass videography and television news camera operation, allowing me to tell stories across multiple platforms and audiences.

Over the past two decades, I've had the privilege of capturing people, places, events, and stories across a wide range of industries. From my early days behind the camera to the work I deliver today, one thing has remained constant: a commitment to professionalism, quality, and achieving the best possible results for my clients.

Experience isn't just about the number of years you've been doing something. It's about understanding how to work under pressure, adapting to challenges, building trust with clients, and consistently delivering high-quality work, whether it's a corporate photography assignment, commercial video production, a sensitive news story, or a live television broadcast.

Twenty-one years in the industry has taught me that great imagery comes not only from technical skill and a keen eye for visual storytelling, but also from listening, understanding the brief, and recognising the story that needs to be told.

I'm incredibly grateful to the many organisations and individuals who have trusted me with their projects over the years. I've been fortunate to work with, and continue to work for, major public sector organisations, including local authorities and the health sector; businesses ranging from global technology providers to construction, engineering and business solutions companies; organisations across the arts, culture, museum and charity sectors; major national and international media and news brands; and numerous public relations and marketing agencies. Your trust and support have made this journey possible.

As I reflect on the last 21 years, I'm proud of the relationships I've built, the stories I've helped tell, the images and films I've created, and the reputation for professionalism and reliability that underpins everything I do.

Here's to the next chapter and to continuing to create powerful visual content that informs, inspires, and connects people.

If your business or organisation is looking for photography, video production, or broadcast camera services, I'd be delighted to hear from you.

Tasked with creating a spread of pictures for The Times this weekend. The Dalemain World Marmalade Awards & Festival preserved in photos. Here are some of the set's thick cut edit. If you've kept your eyes peeled you'll have seen the fine cut making page 11 of today's paper. A job too fruity to keep a lid on. All in all a very Seville affair!
