Such a lovely day at yesterday, in so many of my conversations yesterday, I kept bringing up one thing over and over - connection. How it’s SOOO important to get on and like your photographer, and all of your suppliers for that matter.
I’m not here JUST to take a pretty photo, I’m at your wedding soaking up all of your emotions and trying to show that in my work, In your photos.
Let’s be real, when you look at a photo it’s not JUST how it looks and how stunning you undoubtedly looked, it’s how you felt in that moment. How your guests felt, how they all enjoyed and connected.
My priority when photographing you is so simple, get you to feel comfortable enough to show your real emotions infront of a scary camera. Don’t get me wrong if you’re doing something weird with your arms I’ll tell you. But honestly if you’re feeling comfortable so does your body so weird arms don’t need to be worried about too much.
Yes, I chase the light, I want your photo to be technically sound and for passers by to think that’s a pretty photo. But I’ve only done my job properly when you look at your photos and feel warm because you remember how fun it was and how full to the brim of love you felt on your day.
It was really lovely for me to catch up with some really awesome suppliers too- so much so, I forgot to get my bacon bap before they went.
So whenever you choose someone to be a part of your wedding day. Your number one priority is to make sure you like them as people.
These photos are from the lovely Hannah and Ryan’s wedding, I’ve photographed Hannah’s sister Ruth’s wedding a few years ago, as well as two of the lovely bridesmaids weddings. I feel so so lucky to be a part of all of their happiest days. ❤️
Clearly feeling very privileged and emotional today!! 😂😂
