‘emulsion lift pt. 2’
self portrait sessions 2026 version 8/12

first and hopefully only theme repeat. have a couple ideas for the next four months but if they don’t turn out we’ll see what i can reuse. wanted to try and experiment with layering the photos here, i hadn’t seen anyone do that when i researched the technique last year so i wasn’t sure it was doable. turns out it is but i was rushing so they don’t quite look as good as i want them to. i recently found a polaroid lab printer on vinted for £35 and the seller sent me an offer for £20 when i saved it so i have a feeling that’s going to help experiment more with emulsion lifts and it’ll mean i can do some with photos i’ve already taken or future digital/film photos! shall post to my stories if i make anything soon, perhaps a feed post or a reel in the future too.

15&16/08/26: i’ve had the pleasure of spending the last two days photographing these guys take on a 100km ski erg challenge over 24 hours to raise money for the jac lewis foundation. they all did so well and raised over £1000 for charity. well done guys! thanks for having me!

27/06/26: 3rd place for lauryn at the welsh athletics championship. what a joy it was to be able to shoot it for her!🏃🏽‍♀️

the more sports photography i do the more i love it. it’s a bit out of my comfort zone (especially things like team sports where i don’t know enough to predict what can happen next!) but it’s such a thrill to be able to do it.
