THE DAY BARRY ISLAND WENT DARK. 🌘
You’ve seen Barry Island beneath blue skies, golden sunsets and the glow of the fairground.
But probably never quite like this.
During the partial solar eclipse, I had the drone above Barry Island capturing the coastline below, while photographing the eclipse from the ground at the same time.
By carefully blending my own ground and aerial photographs, I’ve been able to bring those two perspectives together and recreate the extraordinary scene unfolding above and below me.
The eclipse may lead this collection, but Barry was putting on a show long after the sun disappeared. From golden hour over the beach to the fairground blazing into life after dark, this is Barry Island through my lens.
Which photograph stops you in your tracks?
