Logo Design - Simply.Israa |
A few weeks ago I was commissioned to design a for .israa . For those of you that do not know her or follow her page, she dedicates her time into giving tips and advice to keeping life and faith simple! They say practice what you preach - I feel Israa has definitely done that by keeping things simple when choosing this final logo design ๐๐ฝ.
The best thing about a client like Israa is that she knew exactly what she wanted, therefore decisions from the outset were made quickly and easily, which was paramount to the success of the final outcome and it also made the journey along the way very pleasant & stress free!
A number of different design options were presented in the initial stage, which were then whittled down to 3. Then those 3 were developed further before reaching the one. The chosen one was in fact my 2nd favourite out of the three presented so this made it even easier to advance to the final stage.
Decisions were made swiftly and the result is elegant, calm, simple and classic yet contemporary. The colour palette from the outset was going to feature blues, teals and/or turquoise but the question was what shade and what combination of colours?
The result: An accent colour was added (grey) to the main teal/blue and white background, which at first glance may seem very simple, but I can assure you that less is more and simplicity is often difficult to achieve. But after about 12 different colour combinations of these 3 colours alone , I think together we made it happen๐. The chosen font for the English text, too mirrored the logo - it was clean, simple and very clear & legible (something very important to me as a designer). The concept was to somehow combine both Arabic & English - this was done very subtly by having the โSโ in the word โSimplyโ as the โHamzaโ (ุก) for the Alif Maqsurah (ุฅ) in the word ุฅุณุฑุงุก
