Welcome the lifeboat Richard and Caroline Colton II to Barry!

The Richard and Caroline Colton II is the new Shannon class lifeboat that will be based at Barry Dock RNLI, replacing the current Trent class lifeboat.

The image features a number of different classes of lifeboats from around the area. Some include the current Trent class lifeboat that the Shannon will be replacing, as well as the D-class lifeboats from Barry Dock RNLI, RNLI Penarth Lifeboat Station to name a couple.

Great day in Portsmouth today, visiting HMNB Portsmouth and having a look at HMS Queen Elizabeth which is the aircraft carrier and the USS The Sullivan, an US Navy Destroyer both ships will be deploying in the coming days. AS well as seeing a number of British and US owned F-35B fighter jets on board the British Aircraft carrier and a number of other Royal navy ships which is at the base.
