A place I always seem to return to when heading north.

The long walk towards the island, the coastline opening up around you, Snowdonia sitting in the distance and centuries of history scattered along the way.

Some places just never lose their pull.

A little wander around one of the most interesting places I’ve visited.

Once at the heart of the Comstock Lode silver rush, Virginia City boomed into a town of around 25,000 people in the 1800s. Today, the wooden sidewalks, old saloons and weathered buildings make it feel like a little piece of the Old West has somehow survived.

Definitely one of those places where you just want to walk around with a camera and see who and what you find.

Safe to say I’m already impressed. The Welsh coastline from above never gets old 🌊
