Well, I ought to confess here that this is in fact a double exposure. The original take of the fascia outside the university building is half of what you see and in landscape format. Having rotated it 90 degrees and added the identical shot as a second exposure but flipped and rotated, joined at centre and ended up with this.
I had no idea at the time that the vague impression of an animal head in the centre existed, but if you stare at it long enough, you'll see the head of a goat, sheep or a cow. Then you won't be able to unsee it!!

Forest Farm Nature Reserve

Young squirrel that was really too curious about my presence (and my bag of walnuts) and too scared to move.
After a bit, it went "hero mode" and just jumped down the tree, chasing my hand and the walnut in it.
What a playful, happy moment!

Forest Farm Nature Reserve

After a very quiet day in the reserve, very hot and with few birds around, I heard some rumbling noise from a tree and noticed this squirrel rushing down to the tree to reach some nuts that someone had left on a post. He jumped, and I soon realised it was going to be short, and it barely grabbed the edge of the post.
It was a comic scene, and the squirrel quickly grabbed a nut and jumped immediately away.
