With our first named storm of the season arriving on the Welsh Coast I thought I should go down to Porthcawl and get some photos of the waves crashing up against the lighthouse. Storm Austin brought 50-70mph winds causing road closures due to fallen trees and many more disruptions. With the storm season now here I’d like to remind everyone that the forces of nature should be respected and not to go taking unnecessary risks and to stay safe. All these photos were taken at a distance using a telephoto lens.

Do you like ducks? Most of us see ducks everyday on our walks and think oh a duck. But until you see a duck with all the colours of the rainbow you don’t realise how beautiful these quacking, waddling birds are. Especially the Male Mandarin duck with its beautiful colours

A great day spent at RSPB Ham Wall today taking photos of the Marsh Harrier out on the marsh and a lovely looking Goldfinch in the car park in the beautiful morning sun.

An adventurous afternoon out yesterday with the drone and camera. Nash Point Lighthouse for a bit of drone photography then back up to see the local fox in the beautiful sun. We are really spoilt for choice when it comes to Wales for scenery and wildlife.
