A great day out yesterday in the sunshine with the camera taking photos of the beautiful tawny owlet. Just a few weeks ago he was seen poking his head out of the nest, now he’s learning to hunt, fly and defend for himself absolutely a beautiful bird and to get close up shots was unbelievable and special.

Great day out at Bristol Zoo Project photographing their latest big edition the Lowland Gorillas in the African Forest. This Zoo is a great place to visit for all the family and a great place to see unique and unusual animals.

A fantastic day for wildlife photography yesterday. Went exploring around the Vale of Glamorgan for a few hours and then back to Forest Farm and it was nice to see the Great Spotted Woodpecker.

Great morning out, 5 am start and it was worth it. Managed to get a few fox photos and two lovely photos of a juvenile Robin. Made even better with the great company.

A few hours spent down Forest Farm before work today. It was nice to finally get out in the sun with the camera, heard lots of birds singing but didn’t see any so came back with three sharp photos of a Grey Squirrel.

Great afternoon yesterday watching 2 American Lockheed C130’s take off based out of Missouri, along with 2 TUI Boeing 737 land.

Just the two from a very quiet Forest Farm earlier today. I didn’t see the Kingfisher but I did see a male black cap along with a jay and a wood pigeon.

A little trip for a few days to St David’s, got a lovely photo of the cathedral and stopped into WWT Llanelli wetlands on the way home.

One of the best things I’ve ever experienced. So last night I went up to the Elan Valley to do some astro photography of the Northern Lights and came home with three of the best images I’ve ever taken. To experience something so beautiful and breathtaking is unreal and I still can’t believe I got to witness such an event.

Great day out today. I decided to take a trip across the bridge to visit Bristol Zoo Project, saw all manner of animals from the elegant African Cheetah to the Brown Bear of North America along with animals from Asia and Europe. This is a place I’d recommend to visit. Great day out for all the family.
