Marrakech | Jardin Marjorelle
Once owned by the artist Jacque Marjorelle and then restored by Yves Saint Laurent & Pierre Berge for their home.

I haven’t seen so many different Cacti, flowering Agave and Aloe’s before. The colours were incredible. What a garden! .s.l.ferber my beautiful travel companion

There is a lot to love about Sissinghurst Garden but I think my favourite part is the newly designed Delos garden.

Originally considered a disappointment to Vita and Harold. It’s been newly imagined with help from Dan Pearson, and a desire to recreate a drought resilient and bio rich environment which show cases Mediterranean planting. It’s given me lots of inspiration for our dry garden plans.

A few from Port Isaac. A cute little place. But may be a bit kitsch for us.

Charleston garden is a riot of colour. I could completely see how Vanessa Bell’s paintings influenced the herbaceous planting and how the garden inspired her work.

I loved all their statue planters, and busts dotted round the garden and how they used cherry branches for their veg supports. My favourite Cornus kousa framing the abundant greenhouse 💚

If you’ve been to you’ll know, and if you haven’t, I highly recommend a visit.

My Dad has read and studied the work of Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant in great depth. And so, it was very moving to visit their bohemian home with him this weekend. A magically creative, inspiring and insightful journey through their Lewes farmhouse.

48hrs in Venice - a wonderful opportunity to accompany Jon on a work social.

It was a whirlwind of weekend. I didn’t have much time to capture the Venetian beauty but managed to snap a few shots. What struck me the most was how it looks like a film set. The light, shadows, reflections and building textures were bringing out my photographer nerdiness 😂

Thank you to Arch Reinsurance for inviting me and indulging me when I insisted on getting lost in the backstreets.

We recently spent a glorious week in Yalikavak, Turkey. A gorgeous, small, independent hotel which had an elevated position over the harbour and to my delight a well tended garden

It amazes me how plants adapt to the intense heat of the summer and the cold winter nights. No dahlia’s to be seen here! One sweaty morning I tried to capture some of the gardens beauty.

1 - 2 Bougainvillea glabra (Paperflower)
5 - Hibiscus rosa-sinensis
8 - Opunita microdasys ( Angel’s Wings)
9 - Cyperus alternifolius (Umbrella Sedge)
10 - Schinus molle (Peruvian Peppertree)

I was very lucky to be gifted a ticket to on Thursday. A wonderful (and very busy) experience with a group of inspiring gardeners whose enthusiasm was really inspiring.

Here are a few pics I took when I could. My favourite plant, Cornus kousa - Japanese Dogwood (image 7)
