My first love as an artist was drawing and painting and I love watercolour and pen and ink work most of all. I was formally trained in Graphic Design, Illustration and Photography and I've worked in the creative industry my whole life. My approach to your wedding photography is informal wherever possible. In this respect, I aim to melt in to the background, shoot in a natural and relaxed way and keep formal shots to a minimum.

A new take on a subject that I have previously done in watercolour, coloured pencil and pen and ink. This latest interpretation is in my current obsession - soft pastel. When I pared the skin from these grapefruits and oranges I noticed what a great subject they made in raking evening light so I was compelled to photograph and paint them! They lent themselves to a loose and impressionistic treatment with luminous soft pastel pigments. Perfect as wall decor within the kitchen or dining room. For more details, click on the link below:

In my home county of Kent, the glorious grounds of Walmer Castle offer the artist some fabulous inspiration. The latest addition to my shop: Studland Bay.
The stunning coastline at Studland Bay in Dorset, England was made all the more evocative by the billowing cumulus clouds which enhance the feeling of fresh breeziness to this scene with a yacht as focal point. I spent a lovely day photographing the bay with a photographer friend. I then used the photographic reference to interpret the scene in watercolour.
