What a sad week it has been with the news of our mighty Bruce passing.

I’m so glad I have some beautiful memories of him, and some stunning photographs from that day with my bestie that we can truly treasure forever.

Over the years, my photographs of Bruce have also been turned into Christmas cards, prints and coasters, and it makes me so happy knowing that so many of you have bought them and have a little piece of Bruce in your own homes.

I have to admit, school proms weren't something I'd photographed before, but what an incredible evening it turned out to be.

A local school asked if I could capture their prom, and I was so pleased to say yes. From the moment the students started arriving, it was such a special atmosphere. There were some amazing arrivals, plenty of proud families and so much excitement. The students were a credit to their school - they were polite, kind and clearly making memories that will stay with them for years.

As a photographer, I loved capturing all those little moments - the anticipation, the laughter and the celebrations before everyone headed inside for their big night.

It also made everything feel a little more personal because this time next year, my own eldest child will be getting ready for her prom. I honestly can't believe how quickly that has come around, and I already know it's going to be an emotional one.

If you're a school, college or PTA already thinking ahead to next summer, I'd love to help capture your students' special evening. From arrivals and group photographs to those natural moments throughout the event, I'll make sure everyone has lasting memories to look back on.

Some clients become so familiar that you start to feel like part of the team.

I've had the pleasure of working with the Hilton Birmingham Metropole for many years - both directly and for clients hosting their events there. Every time I return, one thing always stands out. They genuinely look after their people, and that creates such a positive atmosphere at every event.

This year has been particularly special as they've celebrated 50 years, and I've been lucky enough to photograph many of those celebrations. Every time they ask me back, it's a huge compliment, but hearing that they value my reliability and the way I capture the feeling of the day meant even more.

Event photography is very different from a planned brand shoot. There isn't a shot list that unfolds exactly as expected, and there are no second takes. Every event has its own energy, and my job is to blend into the background, observe what's happening and anticipate the moments before they happen.

You'll often find me quietly wandering the room, listening for bursts of laughter, spotting conversations that are full of genuine connection and watching for those little interactions that tell the real story of the day. Those authentic moments are always my favourite to capture because they're the ones people remember.

Thank you to everyone at the Hilton Metropole Birmingham for continuing to trust me with your events. It's always a pleasure to be part of your celebrations, and here's to many more.

Working with long-standing clients is one of my favourite parts of what I do.

I've worked with the team at Tonic Day Spa for years now, and it's been brilliant to watch their business continue to evolve. As they've introduced new technology and treatments, it was time to refresh their image library so their photography reflected everything they now offer.

One thing I love about working with Tonic is how creative they are. They always come to the table with exciting ideas, and together we bring them to life. This shot is a perfect example.

Using their steam machine, we created something that feels dramatic, atmospheric and a little bit epic. It's the kind of image that immediately grabs your attention while showcasing the treatment in a memorable way.

Creating photographs that not only look beautiful but also help businesses tell their story is what it's all about.

It's always such a privilege to photograph returning clients, and this was a really special one.

This was my third brand photoshoot with Amanda, celebrating 10 incredible Beacon Learning and Performance ltd. Watching businesses grow and being invited back to document different chapters of that journey is something I'll never take for granted.

We started bright and early at 8.30 am to try and beat the summer heat... but on one of the hottest days of the year, it turned out there was no escaping it. By the end of the shoot we were both melting, but it was absolutely worth it.

For the past 10 years, Amanda has been helping organisations create healthier, more supportive workplaces by delivering essential mental health training to designated employees. The passion and care she brings to her work shines through in everything she does, and it was lovely to create a fresh library of images to mark this milestone.

Congratulations on 10 years in business, Amanda. Here's to everything that's still to come.

Ive always loved taking pictures for as long as I can remember.

Before it became my business I used to have fun experimenting and these are a blast from the past as I'm looking through my archive.

I took my brothers miniature toy to one day and just had some fun creating scenes where he could possible be real life. My mom loves so im sure she will love these. Probably at one point I must of shown her but these must be 20 years old maybe.

Now that my business isn't full time I am enjoying the freedom to capture photos for fun again and loving it.

Thought I’d jump on this trend. Asked chat got for a caricature of what it thought it knew about me. Not too bad to be fair. I always do a thumbs up at awards shoots when people are on stage to know I have the shot. I don’t wink mind haha

And the fox I’m not sure about unless it’s for when I designed Lloyds logo. The rest is pretty bang on although I feel like I’ve been aged lol

As the sun rises on the last day of 2025, I just want to say thank you. To every client, collaborator, supporter and cheerleader who has been part of my journey so far - your support has meant more than you probably realise.

2026 will look very different for me. Since taking a leap and changing something back in November, I now work more as part of the team at than I do within my own business. That shift means I’m stepping into the new year more as an employee than a business owner - and that’s been a big mindset change, but a really positive one. I’m proud of the decision I made and genuinely excited to see where this new chapter leads.

As we head into a new year, a gentle reminder not to put too much pressure on yourself to meet every goal you once set. Life changes. Priorities shift. And if things aren’t going how you expected, it’s OK to change something. It’s OK to choose a different path. Growth doesn’t always look like pushing harder - sometimes it looks like being brave enough to pivot.

Here’s to perspective, courage and whatever the next chapter brings.
