A huge credit to all the volunteer marshals and crews, and other competitors, who quickly managed to help, on what could have been a much more serious incident this afternoon after a car caught on fire at the MACH 1 Stages Rally! 👏

I will get some photos and videos uploaded tomorrow after the weekend concludes.

Hi everyone. 👋

I know I haven’t been on this page much at all recently, I’ve also had notifications turned off, so I’ve not seen any messages and comments.

Anyway, a month or so I got a drone. Been waiting for the right time to post a photo taken with it.

I couldn’t resist getting one this evening around 30 minutes ago of Le Champlain departing Campbeltown, with Davaar Island at the head of Campbeltown Loch in the background. Which had visited for the day full of golfers for the Golf out at Machrihanish Golf Club. Fantastic weather for it.

Anyway, enjoy! 👍🏻😎🛳️📸

Watching the Sun set last night near Middle Beach.

Just had to share this photo I got last night with my phone of some people and their dogs also enjoying the setting Sun.

Tonights Full Worm Moon Rising up over the horizon.

We had been hoping to see it rise from the very Southern tip of the Isle of Arran, but unfortunately there was some very thick haze off in the distance, so we couldn't quite get the photograph that we were after.

The first photo is around 7 minutes after the Moon started to rise. The second one around 13 minutes after Moon rise. And lastly, the third photograph around 17 minutes after Moon Rise. The lighthouse that you can see on the bottom right, flashing away is Pladda Lighthouse.

If you have any sort of interest in Astonomy or Night Sky Photography, feel free to join our group, Stargazing in Kintyre & Gigha, we also meet on the 3rd Friday of the Month too, at the Campbeltown Picture House.

The sunset on Friday afternoon, taken from Dunavertay.

The sun and clouds casting wonderful Crepuscular Rays in the distance, infant of the Northern Ireland coastline. This was 5 minutes before a heavy hail storm arrived.

This a a 2 shot image "HDR" technique used once again. One image for the bright sunset, and another used for the dark foreground. Without doing this, and only taking a photograph, exposing for the sunset, the foreground would have been completely black. Using the HDR result, is much more like what you could see with your own eyes, which the camera could not do in one shot.
