Into the air, air test, fly through and landing in the hands of the boss - 30th September 2026
Always special to witness a first flight after restoration and this Spitfire looks stunning after the usual thorough work of Aircraft Restoration Company.
A second flight was also undertaken and no doubt it won't be long before flights with happy customers will be underway with Aerial Collective.
Spitfire T.9 RK858 is painted as MH763 of 72 Squadron and is the second of the ARCo fleet of two seaters with cannons!

Fantastic to see the Rolls-Royce plc Heritage Flight Spitfire PR.XIX PS853 in temporary Swedish Air Force markings displayed at the Imperial War Museum Duxford Battle of Britain show.
And only just, all washed off before the Spitfire departed on the Monday after the show!

Arriving at Imperial War Museum Duxford from Vintage Fabrics at Audley End Airfield yesterday was original SE5A C8996.

A busy Friday of flying at Imperial War Museum Duxford saw Wildcat G-KINL painted as a Grumman Martlet III 'AX733' up from Aircraft Restoration Company for a flight and a nice pass in lovely light.
Also on landing, the opportunity presented for a two Wildcat photo as The Fighter Collection's example was out on the airfield following some engine runs.
