Today is the day, Hawker Hurricane Mk.XII of the Historic Aircraft Collection as part of the Polish Heritage Flight will depart Imperial War Museum Duxford for Poland on a special commemorative flight.
Marked in 302 'City of Poznan' Squadron markings as based at Duxford at the height of the Battle of Britain in September 1940, the aircraft represents two pilots:
The port side as P3935/WX-D of Flt Lt - later Wg Cdr - Julian Kowalski.
The starboard side as P2954/WX-E flown by Flt Lt Tadeusz Chlopik.
Safe flight.
