Why do I love producing portraits?
Hello, I am Zulfiya and I am a portrait and music photographer, born&raised in Russia now I am permanently based in Cambridge, UK. I have been always fascinated with photography and its ability to capture emotions, colors, forms, connection between people and places, personality of people portrayed by it. When we find some old photographs even of some random people we don’t know we feel that instant connection with them and that captured moment seems to be much closer to our minds. Photographs are sometimes the only evidence left behind of people and places existing in time. My journey here is to photograph people, their environments, their enthusiasm to what they do, how they live, to portray their strength and their characters in a way that will make them feel really good about themselves. So that they had photographs of themselves that they love and which they will be able to pass on to their partners, families, friends and of course to keep to themselves as well. It is important to celebrate our lives as they are happening now and recognise those special moments that are worth being captured in photographs to create your own story. Because who else than not ourselves? Please allow yourself to have a portrait of you that you finally love. Whether it is for your personal history, or if those pictures you will be using in your professional endeavours to represent yourself in the best way possible, those photographs will be reminding you of how great you are.
