It was 4th time lucky for the absolutely lovely Liz & Joe yesterday. It's been a hard 18 months for so many people, and hit the wedding industry so brutally. It's an absolute joy to see people finally being able to come together again to celebrate, dance and be happy with their loved ones.

Hi All, well 2020 is shaping up to be a weird year isn't it? I've been very quiet on social as of late, and with no weddings this year, I have taken a bit of a break, but I am back! I am getting excited about 2021 weddings now, and happy to start sharing more work and blogging again - starting with this one - the gorgeous wedding of Rebecca & Aldo in Umbria Italy.

April 5th 2020... today should have been my first wedding of the season. Something I always look so forward to. The relief I get when wedding season finishes is very short lived, and I’m always itching to get back into it, by the time my first wedding of the year rolls around I am raring to go. I should be on my way to bridal prep right now, but sadly - covid-19 happened.

This is not going to be a negative post - it’s gonna be a bloody positive one!! To all my lovely couples who’ve had to postpone their wedding days... take this time to get MORE excited! I promise I am gonna work my arse off for you on your new wedding date! I will go over and above to give you the best wedding photos I can. Plan more, bigger - better!! Get more excited, get more loved up and spend every day between now and then staying humble and grateful that you still have this amazing day to come!! It will not be a watered down version of the day you had planned for so long, with your 10 guests too afraid to talk to one another and standing 3 feet apart! It will be exactly what you ever dreamt it would be but BETTER!!

Just imagine - you’re going to be able to hug your guests, you’re going to be able to drunk dance with your best mate and party like there is no tomorrow. You’re going to be able to have your father walk you down the aisle and kiss your elderly relatives on the cheek.

It will be AMAZING! Look forward to it, I already am ❤️

“Let’s just have a little lie down here”. Believe it or not, lying down on the grass for a few portrait shots was not my idea, but came from the groom Dan... I think perhaps a mixture of heat and alcohol had a part to play, but also the sheer exhaustion setting in just after having said their vows, and having 30 mins to go and take a break from all the craziness of a wedding day... not to mention all the planning for the wedding and organising the logistics of getting all the family and friends over to Thailand for the big day. Either way - I love it when my couples give me cool stuff to work with! Every wedding is different ✨✨

So here is my and I just wanted to say thank you to all of my past clients and also to my future ones - it’s a massive privilege to be trusted to document the biggest day of your lives! Thank you to anyone who has supported me on this journey - whether it be recommending me to a friend, or even just a like on a photo. 2019 has given me some amazing weddings, and taken me as far as the exotic climates of the Far East. I’m looking forward to what’s coming in 2020 and beyond. Happy New Year 🥳

Well, it’s almost 2020! How the hell did that happen? I hope you all had a relaxing Christmas, and congrats to all of you who got engaged over the festive period! I’m now feeling ready for the start of a new decade... Im so looking forward to what amazing weddings it will bring. Heres to anyone getting married in 2020 and beyond! 🥂

E T H E R E A L // serious beauty beaming right out of Jo in this photo. ✨ At this moment Andy was saying his personalised vows to Jo, and I was shooting through a very tight gap in the trellis just to capture the look on her face. For me, I photograph weddings to not only remind people of how they looked, but to allow them to remember how they FELT. Right in that moment!

Yesterday I sent them their wedding gallery and got the loveliest text from the bride which made me shed a tear (or two)
“Only just finished going through them all, we absolutely love every single one” “You caught it all so perfectly we are so grateful!! ###”

All the hours spent shooting weddings, travelling, editing until the early hours of the morning and meticulously adjusting colour balance until my eyes go squiffy can be challenging physically and mentally but it is 100% worth it if I can make my clients this happy.

I absolutely love what I do and happy clients make it all the more fun and meaningful. ❤️
