I just wanted to let you all know that I'm going to be taking a break from DKP for the foreseeable.

I've absolutely loved meeting so many different families and of course your new, beautiful newborns and seeing you all grow over years, with you coming back for family shoots too. It's been so lovely.

I thank you all to the bottom of my heart for the support you've given me whilst I'm been running DKP, I really appreciate it. 🥰

I hope that it's a 'see you later' rather than a 'goodbye'.

It was so lovely seeing Ben, Stephanie and Penelope again. We had a great time for their family portrait session! 🍂🍁

It's so common for me to hear that parents would rather not have their photos taken in their newborn session.

Your little one is so small for such a short space of time and I know from experience, it's so lovely to have amazing photo of me and my boy to look back on. I don't have to display it, I don't have to show everyone, but I will always have it.

I'll pose you, use flatting angles, so you don't have to worry about that. And at the end of it, you'll have a photo to keep forever.

If you don't do it for you, do it for them 💕

Before every session, I ask what colours and props the parents would like to have for their photos. You may have a favourite colour for your little one, blues for boys and pinks for girls, for example, but it's always good to remember to think about where you might have your images on display. What rooms and the colour schemes in your house etc.
This will then help your photos look amazing up on display in your home.

Newborn sessions usually take place with the first 14 days of little one's arrival, sometimes up to 21 days if needed.

To save disappointment, please get in touch before your little one arrives, this way I can get your due date in the diary so I can make sure there's availability for you.

I always go by what baby feels comfortable with. This little one absolutely loved being wrapped up so that's what we did!

It was a pleasure meeting Christina, her little boy Maurice and his siblings for Maurice's newborn session 💙
Blues and whites was the colour scheme, for the session and everyone coordinated too! So lovely!
