Happy World Bee Day!!! 🐝πŸͺ»πŸŒΏ
I have been enjoying the emergence of all our bee-utiful mining bees over the past couple months, including these Tawny and Gwynne's mining bees found on a Plant Survey, and around the Bradfield Woods visitors centre. Even stumbled across a larvae skin shed left poking out of one of the Gwynnes nest holes, fangs still visible and all!! Such awesome little guys πŸ₯°πŸ

My 2021 nature highlights πŸ₯°πŸŒΏπŸ¦‹πŸ’š

This year was mainly spent at the amazing Knepp Wildland, shooting my final year's film for my Natural History and Media degree and discovering the most mind-blowing wildlife wonders! From early morning rises to stalk purring turtle doves to dodging diving and battling purple emperor's. Nature truly showed its colours this year. πŸ€©πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ

Stuck at home now, in the editing stage, it still sends shivers down my spine every time I listen back to the eerily beautiful call of a Nightingale I managed to capture one night, and sparks of excitement every time I re-watch the bill clattering of these two White storks displaying to each other on their nest I had watched for hours (sadly Instagram didn't support the audio with this clip for some reason, but it is worth looking up on YouTube!! 😍).

Memories I will treasure for many years to come!

What a year!!

Here's to a wonderful, wildlife filled 2022! πŸ˜ŒπŸŒ³πŸžπŸŒΌπŸ’š

The amazing Fly Agaric. πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ Cannot believe how many of these have popped up this year!! 🀩
This species has to be the most classic fairy tale mushroom and I will never get tired of bumping into these beauties πŸ˜πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ
A friend recently told me that this fungi was once used as one of the first forms of insecticide, which is where it gained its name from...
Pieces of the mushroom were sprinkled into milk to attract flies with its aroma, which then intoxicated and killed them as a result.... Not such a fun-guy after all.. πŸ€” ...Sorry πŸ€£πŸ„πŸŒΏ
