Trying to capture the best of British nature

Well...It's been a while! Found myself in a bit of an Instagram lull, iv been very busy since just before Christmas also, meaning I haven't been posting. The good news? I have lots of photos from the back end of last year yet to post! Here's a fantastic Skylark from a visit to Cavenham Heath. Do love a Skylark!

I was rewarded on a quick walk near where I live by this superb Buzzard. I love the side lighting and the branch it's perched on! As I continued on down the lane I peered at the back of my camera and immediately knew this one was a fist pumper! When you know, you know!

🎶 A little bit of bread and no cheese! 🎶

I'll never tire of hearing the iconic rhythm of a Yellowhammers song. Such a shame that we've lost 56% of our farmland birds since 1970.....56%!!!

We need to move from our intensive approach to farming and find ways to include our wildlife into our practices. Re-wildling is something any land owner can do and benefits of doing so are quickly seen! I look forward to when returns on May 30th and shows what we can achieve when we embrace re-wilding! is showing us all how it's done. Let's hope more land owners embrace the movement!

Walking with my cousin round a new place on a glorious day like today and this Hare started running down the road right towards us! He stopped once he realised we were there about 50m away! Best view of a Hare iv had for ages! Bloody love a Hare 👌🔥

Some In flight shots of two large birds I'm lucky enough to see in abundance near me! Raven and Buzzard.

Very long range here but saw a nice little opportunity to get a shot of a Redshank and a Spotted Redshank together. For those out there that aren't sure, the Spotted Redshank is the rear bird. The longer, slightly hooked bill gives it away along with the variation in the plumage.
