Follow or unfollow?

No sound-bite tips, no fake “easy 6 figures” vibes. Just two women juggling business, life, kids, sharing what actually helps, and getting way too excited when we find something worth telling you about.

No gatekeeping here, just honest behind-the-scenes and the odd daft photo in a ball pit!

You don’t have to be the loudest person in the room (or on Instagram!) to be visible.

I’m an introvert. I’m not someone who wants to share every part of my life online, jump on every trend or be constantly talking to camera.

And yet, my business relies on me being visible.

What I’ve learnt is that visibility doesn’t have to mean becoming a louder version of yourself.

You can show up quietly, be thoughtful about what you share and you can take up space without feeling like you’re performing. I think that’s something a lot of my clients need to hear too.

So many women tell me they need to feel more confident before they book a brand shoot or start showing their face more online.

You really don’t. You just need to find a way of being visible that still feels like you.

Because the people you want to work with don’t need a polished, louder, more confident version of you…they just need to get to know the real one.

Summer in my business looks a little different.

There are fewer routines, more snack requests, the occasional (make that every 5 minutes!) interruption, and plenty of juggling…and of course breaking up squabble or two!

Some days I’m photographing incredible women in business. Other days I’m editing galleries while the girls are busy making memories of their own. Somewhere in between, I’m planning the next Athena meeting and looking forward to seeing so many familiar (and some new!) faces in September.

It’s not always perfectly balanced, but it reminds me why I built this business in the first place.

To help women in business feel more confident, more visible and more connected.

Whether that’s through photography that helps them show up online, or through Athena, where they build relationships with women who champion them, both businesses exist for the same reason.

So if you’re embracing a slower summer, enjoy every minute.

And when September arrives, I’ll be here, ready to help you get visible, build new connections and finish the year feeling stronger than you started it.

I’d love to know…are you completely switching off this summer, or are you doing a little bit of both?

The photos that grow your business usually aren’t the perfect ones.

They’re the ones that feel like you.

Over the years, I’ve lost count of the number of times a client has chosen a polished, posed image as their favourite... only for a more relaxed, natural photo to become the one that gets the most engagement, enquiries or messages.

The image where they’re laughing.
The one where they look thoughtful.
The one they nearly didn’t choose because it felt a little too real.

I think we’re often far more critical of ourselves than anyone else is.

What you see as imperfect, your audience often sees as approachable.

What you see as vulnerable, they see as human.
And in a world full of carefully curated content, people connect with people. Not perfection.

If you’ve got photos sitting in a folder because you’re waiting until you feel confident enough to use them, consider this your sign.

The right people aren’t looking for perfect.
They’re looking for you.

Which photos do you tend to avoid sharing - the polished ones or the more natural ones?

If I’m honest, I thought these sessions would be fully booked by now.

Not because they’re a great price
Not because of clever marketing.
But because I’ve lost count of the number of women who’ve told me over the past year “I really need some new photos.”

And yet somehow, updating our own visibility always seems to end up at the bottom of the list.

We prioritise clients…and projects…and deadlines…and everyone else.

And before we know it, another year has passed and we’re still using the same photos.

These mini-sessions were my attempt to make that process easier.

A beautiful location with professional make-up included. And a relaxed, supportive shoot.

No need for a full rebrand or a whole day out of the diary.

Today is the final day to book.

If you’ve been meaning to update your photos for months, this is your gentle nudge to stop waiting for the perfect time. Link is in my bio to book or send me a DM and I’ll send you all the details.

If the thought of brand photos makes you want to cancel before you’ve even booked… this post is for you.

Things I hear all the time:
“What if I’m awkward in photos?”
“What do I wear?”
“What if I don’t know what I’m doing?”

Most women who book feel nervous beforehand, and that’s completely normal. Even I do when I have my own brand photoshoots!

You do not need to arrive feeling confident or ‘camera-ready’. My job is to guide you through the whole thing so you can relax and actually enjoy it.
The goal isn’t stiff, perfect photos. We aiming to capture natural, personality filled images that feel like you and help you show up confidently in your business.

The next mini sessions are on June 11th, and the early bird pricing ends tomorrow, Friday, 22nd May.

If you’ve been waiting to feel “ready”, maybe this is your reminder that you don’t have to be.

Link is in my bio for all the details or send me a DM if you want to chat first.

Questions like these are exactly why I created the mini sessions in the first place.

Most women who book tell me they’re nervous, unsure what to wear, worried they’ll feel awkward or convinced they’re “not photogenic”. And honestly? That’s so normal.

The good news is you don’t need to arrive confident or camera-ready. That’s my job to help with.

The mini sessions are designed to feel relaxed, supportive and easy, while still giving you professional images that help you show up confidently in your business.

The next mini-session date is June 11th and the early bird price is available until Friday 22nd May.

If you’ve been thinking about finally updating your brand photos, this is your sign.

Link in bio for all the details or send me a DM if you want to chat it through first.
