Ely Cathedral’s Octagon Tower lookup.

I’ve shared this image quite a lot because I genuinely love it. Having photographed a number of sacred spaces, the Octagon Tower remains one of those rare places that seems to work beautifully no matter the time of day or the direction of the light.

I haven’t printed this in A1 yet, but I’ve recently been transitioning to a different paper stock, and I think it would suit this piece incredibly well.

The full span of the Choir of Ely Cathedral.

My interior panoramas are composed of 45 photographs merged together into a single frame. Inspired by cinema and 90s console video games, I’ve infused elements of the fantasy worlds I grew up with into these incredible architectural spaces that have stood for centuries.

You can find this print at St Paul’s Cathedral shop in the crypt.

The “Double” Transformation (1872): During the Victorian era, the central screen was removed to finally achieve Wren’s dream of an open vista. To keep the organ, Henry “Father” Willis literally sawed Wren’s original wooden case in half. He moved the two halves to the pillars on either side of the Quire, creating the “double” organ look you see today.
