National Geographic Expeditions
The National Geographic Endurance is a state-of-the-art, PC5 Category A ice-classed expedition vessel operated by Lindblad Expeditions in partnership with National Geographic. Launched in 2020, she accommodates 138 guests and features a patented wave-slicing X-Bow and luxurious amenities like glass igloos and infinity tubs.
Purpose-built for year-round navigation in remote polar regions like Antarctica and the Arctic, the ship provides an intimate and scientifically enriching exploration experience.
Key Vessel Features:
Patented X-Bow: The unique, inverted bow design slices through waves, reducing spray and dampening vibration for a highly stabilized, smooth ride in rough polar waters.
Luxury Accommodations:
The ship features Scandinavian-inspired interiors with 76 cabins, most of which include floor-to-ceiling windows, balconies, and hammocks.
Onboard Amenities: Guests can relax in two glass-enclosed igloos, enjoy infinity hot tubs, or use the observation lounge and spa.
Expedition Tools
Dedicated Expedition Base:
A specialized "garage" allows for the secure launching of Zodiac boats, kayaks, snowshoes, and cross-country skis, regardless of weather conditions.
Science Hub:
An onboard lab equipped with state-of-the-art educational tools, allowing guests to work alongside marine biologists, undersea specialists, and National Geographic photographers.
