Sometimes your wedding looks differently than you planned. Maybe a freak spring snow blizzard or a hale storm takes out your ceremony. Or maybe a global pandemic sweeps the rug out from under the world’s feet and we all end up flat on our butts. There are a million things you can’t plan for.

HOWEVER, No matter what is going on in the world and your life that you didn’t plan for, there’s always love. It’s possible that your wedding day will be on a different date that you had your heart set on. Maybe in a new place, with fewer guests and less extravagant. Maybe you will decide to elope instead of having a big wedding you have planned because you have lost your job due to the pandemic and money are tight. Your wedding day is one of the few days in life that you should be allowed to be selfish. It’s about YOU, and YOUR partner who you LOVE. So if you want to travel halfway across the world with just your photographer, then just do it! No, not everyone is going to understand. But the people who love and support you the most will. Your wedding will be perfect no matter what because you’ll be married to your person and that’s the whole point, right?

It has been several months since I've posted any photos of my couples, and honestly, it's because I've been at a loss for what I can say. The whole world feels so, so heavy right now and my heart is breaking for many people. For the many essential workers putting their lives on the line for people even when those same people ignore the advice to stay home.
I have been volunteering along with Mr. M for couple of months, delivering shopping and hot meals to vulnerable locals. I feel for people who have been isolating for months and did not go mad. I also feel deeply for engaged couples all over the world who have looked forward to their elopement or wedding this year and are facing a high likelihood that things might need to be rescheduled. It's just a lot to handle for all of us.

I'm desperate to go out for a beach walk with my Doberman rescue Freya, out hiking or adventure on days like the one in the picture above. I really miss that. But at the end of the day, if me sitting at home saves someone's loved one from dying due to the virus, then count me in. Always. It's honestly the smallest sacrifice to make, compared to what some other people are going through.

I have been disappointed by how many people aren't taking this seriously and are putting peoples lives at risk. No Instagram or Facebook post or picture is worth someone dying. Let's be better than that.
I've seen this community accomplish great, beautiful, and inspiring things. So let's inspire positive action in this moment too.
I, along with many others, have friends and family on the front lines here. We have lost loved ones, we have even lost a young family member. The people on the front line are taking risks so we can survive. That's the ultimate sacrifice. Let's do right by them.

A throwback to autumn sunset shoot above Curbar Edge, Peak District.

Part of the styled shoot was taken in the absolutely breathtaking venue of Cressbrook Hall. And what a unique venue it is, with its stone buildings nestled amongst the contrasting landscape and dramatic geology near Bakewell!

The team behind the shoot was absolutely amazing from out of the ordinary bouquet by Finishing Flourishes, stunning makeup by Mazz Loxton to iconic wedding gown and veil by Bexbrides, Bespoke, Designer and Vintage Bridal Studio (which we didn't use for the sunset shoot as it was raining on our way to the ridge and we worried it will get damaged). We all wanted to cut into the beautifully textured cake by Vanilla Moon Bespoke Cakes from the moment it arrived and it went beautifully with the wedding invitation suite by Rachel Jenkins Made by Rae Designs - Bespoke Wedding Stationery .

From Cressbrook Hall it is only a short ride to the dramatic views of Curbar Edge which was our destination for sunset ceremony. We have been racing through time and countryside to ensure we get to the Edge before night falls and were rewarded by a spectacular view and a glorious sunset.

I've just came back from an epic shoot with super creative wedding suppliers and photographers at the Glen Etive and I am really excited to show you a few sneak peaks. We have been super lucky to experience a mixture of sunny and dramatic weather, with the morning mist coming slowly down from the mountains like it has a secrets to tell. Secrets of the remote glen, rapids, waterfalls and lochs, all guarded under the watchful eyes of eagles and stags.

Most of you have likely seen the iconic image of a tiny, little, white hut looking lonely and dwarfed at the base of a Buachaille Etive Mor on social media before. Although the main focus of the elopement styled shoot have been on Glen and Loch Etive, I knew we have to make a stop at the Lagangarbh Hut, being the only building in the vicinity amongst such a mind blowing landscape is part of its breathtaking appeal.
