There is something so magical about sundown sessions with children.
The excitement of staying out a little later than usual. The freedom of running through a field with the last of the sunshine on their faces. The giggles, the games, the cuddles, and those moments in between that you never realise you’ll miss one day.
This is why I love sunset sessions so much.
There is no pressure for children to sit still or smile on command. Instead, they get to explore, play, run, laugh, and simply be themselves. While they’re busy making memories, I’m quietly capturing them.
The way they hold your hand.
The way they look at you.
The way they throw their heads back when they laugh.
The way they fit perfectly in your arms, even though they’re growing far too quickly.
Family photographs aren’t really about perfect poses.
They’re about remembering what this season of life felt like.
The golden evenings.
The messy hair.
The endless energy.
The little personalities that change and grow before our eyes.
One day, these photographs will remind you of all the things you never want to forget.
