I occasionally enjoy using this old Japanese film camera along with a hand held light meter instead of my modern digital equipment. The seals aren’t the best so it lets in the odd light leak but for me that’s part of the charm. The analogue click of the shutter and the slow winding on of the film each time feels intentional and fun. Well… I think so anyway. 😎

Mist Lifting Over Loch Shin

On a cold winters afternoon the mist lifted just enough to see the wee house on its tiny island and the hydro dam faintly visible in the distance.

I was asked to take photos at the Doll Hall’s Christmas ceilidh, of the children’s pass‑the‑parcel and Santa’s arrival with gifts. It was wonderful to see the next generation enjoying the hall, and the evening was thoroughly appreciated by everyone who came along to dance to the excellent Strathair Ceilidh Band.
