I like to think about this photo as a way to tell society back in Tรผrkiye...
The way that their economy is so bad that people are struggling there. Poor people getting poorer and the rich get richer and in some sense, the way it is here in the UK as well and everywhere else for that matter.
People have enough for yachts to relax on whilst people only have enough to fish as a way to spend time or to even catch food for themselves.
It's like a second home to me, as I also came from a poor background but was lucky enough to have parents that found jobs here in the UK. I'm also lucky that my long distance gf lives there and to be able to spend time with her as well.
Just feels so jarring that there are still people struggling whilst there is so much money in the world for people to stop suffering and to live a comfortable life with each other.
But at the end of the day, we are still living confined to a space where money doesn't matter and the type of things you use gives you that little bit of happiness inside. And the type of gear you use doesn't matter as all.
