Some very quick favourites from this morning's ascent before I head out for the day. Is it just me, or has this year's festival been an absolute belter? (And we're only halfway through!)

Perfect weather for photographing balloons this evening!

This is just the one shot for now (and my favourite of the bunch). Expect more tomorrow - now I'm going to bed so I can wake up early for the next ascent!

South Bristol was definitely the place to be this morning. 🎈😊

Get yourself a friend who'll accidently leave his bike in aesthetically pleasing locations while out on photowalks.

A few favourites from a walk down to the harbour yesterday evening.

Walked past this several times last weekend while it was in progress and every time left me wishing I had my camera on me! Nice to have a free morning today, so I could finally pop out and get a few shots.

Happy Pride Month! πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ This year I'm celebrating by doing something I've wanted to do for a while - releasing a crochet pattern I've designed and written. You can find a link to both the free and paid versions in my bio!

If you've been following my photography account for a while, a post about crochet might feel a bit out of the blue! In case you didn't see my post last week, I'm changing the direction of my work a little bit. I'll definitely still be doing plenty of photography - I'm just adding knitting and crochet to the mix too! 😊

In any case, this pattern is for anyone who wants to support a small, q***r creator this pride month, rather than getting their pride merch from huge, pink-washing corporations.

It is very beginner friendly, and doesn't involve anything more frightening than chain stitches, single crochet stitches, double crochet stitches, slip stitches and a magic circle.

You can see the full pattern for free on my website, but please do consider buying the PDF if you can spare Β£3; it includes lots of photographs as well as the written instructions, and as a small business it really does help me out. You can find it in my Etsy shop, and hopefully I'll have Ravelry set up by tomorrow as well!

10% of each purchase will be donated to LGBTQ organisations. The two groups that I plan to support are: Dandelion DIY, a Bristol-based harm reduction group for trans+ people self-medicating with HRT, and African Rainbow Family, a grassroots charity that campaigns for racial justice and the human rights of LGBTIQ+ refugees and people seeking asylum.

Beyond that, crocheters lmk if you have any comments or feedback about the pattern! This is my first time doing this so concrit would be appreciated! ✌🏻🧢
