My recent video on solitary bees, realised I hadn't uploaded it here! Over 95% of bee species in UK are solitary and they are so important to our ecosystem!

Anyway I am working on lots more educational nature projects which I will upload here...

Best days birdwatching in a long time. Saw three new species of birds around Somerset, I would be pretty happy with one every few weeks. Highlight was seeing my first ever Male Hen Harrier, I cannot tell you how excited I was to see this raptor which was driven to extinction in the UK during the 19th century and is still the victim of persecution to this day! Pictures aren't the best but hey just happy to have seen this amazing birds in their natural habitat!!!!

Some pictures from the few days we spent in the Scottish Highlands. Did some walking in some magnificent landscapes and saw plenty of wildlife! Including the Crested Tit a bird species with a very restricted range in the UK.

Find it hard to post consistently but for those that do enjoy my photos here are all the best ones/best sightings from over the christmas period. It's funny to see the difference between photographing wild birds and captive animals! Highlights include seeing my first ever Waxwings, getting a semi OK photo of a Hawfinch, first ever Horned Grebe and a trip to the butterfly house with my nephew. Hope you enjoy.

A close encounter with one of our most alien looking moths. I normally see a few Hummingbird Hawk Moths every year but very rarely do I get to see them up close like this. An amazing example of convergent evolution this month behaves and even looks like a hummingbird.

So excited to have seen my first Red-Belted Clearwing a species of day flying moth in our new garden! I have already seen some fantastic creatures and I'm sure there are many more to come!
