The resident male kingfisher was generous enough to show up seven times the other day while I sat and watched!
I was shooting mostly video but did switch to stills for a second to capture this image. The sunlight highlighting this incredible bird’s outer feathers.

I hardly ever edit kingfishers in black and white simply due to their stunning colours, but I think it works rather well in this instance.

Many thanks again to the team .estate for allowing me to try and photograph these birds despite their ongoing school sessions!

A few panning shots from the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
I will post a few more photos soon but I thought I’d start with these ones.

, and at Vale!

Part of an ongoing project. Soon to be finished. Stay tuned.

Sorry for not posting in over a month!
So I thought I’d show another of my favourite images from my recent time with the local kingfishers.

I’m hoping to be able to go back to the same location this coming Christmas holiday, although before that I’ll be in Cumbria, back with one of my favourite British animals, the red squirrel!

So keep an eye out for that as well 🐿️

Seeing as the majority of people voted for a landscape photo I thought I’d post it today.
This photograph was taken at loch alive, just outside of aviemore in the cairngorms.

I did get very lucky with the reflections on the water as there was no wind whatsoever (very rare for Scotland 😂)

This is definitely my favourite photograph I’ve taken of our local kingfishers so far!

I managed to get about three metres away from him!

Although, this is a male juvenile which makes me think that he could be overlapping onto other territories as I’m pretty sure I haven’t photographed him before 🤷‍♂️

I’m also going to post a reel soon, showing how I took this image, along with some of my other best photos from this shoot. So keep an eye out!

This photograph of a man sitting against the partial remains of the Berlin Wall was taken whilst I was on holiday there this summer.

Using the wall as a leading line, the lone figure was positioned perfectly against the harsh white wall that hadn’t been graffitied.
I also decided to convert the image to black and white in post.

Another kingfisher image from a few weeks ago.

The only annoying thing about this photo is that his head is just slightly out of focus 😑
But apart from that I think it’s pretty good!

Taken nearly a year ago in my grandfather’s back garden! I spent about 3 hours sat at the top and bottom of the garden photographing these incredible red squirrels.
Just as I was about to pack up and head inside for tea, I spotted this male sat on a very low hanging branch that was on the other side of the garden wall.
I moved very slowly and placed my camera and tripod on the ground just in front of the wall.
At this point the squirrel was probably about 4/5 metres away 😮

It’s like going to a paid hide experience but instead it’s for free because it’s in my grandad’s garden 😂
