Mini session bookings are coming this week…

I'm so excited to be offering a day of mini portrait sessions this September 19th at The Forge, Bristol.

These sessions are by far the most affordable way to work with me- bite sized portrait sessions in a gorgeous venue to give your branding a lift heading into Autumn. We'll capture a variety of portraits and a few details to give you a selection to choose from.

The sessions will be £125 for 30 minutes, including 8 hi-res digital images of your choice from a gallery, and the option to upgrade to the full gallery of 20-30+ images for £75 if you just can't decide.

I'm opening bookings up to those on the waitlist this Wednesday (tomorrow), so if you'd like to be on that list, pop me a DM!

How do you create an epic shot list for your photo shoot?

You plan! I’ve been working with some clients recently on lifestyle product photography sessions, which are all about showing off gorgeous products in real-life (okay *idealised life*) settings to help customers visualise having that lovely product in their life. So delicious.

Making sure you get that variety of shots so your images will truly be useful for the content you’re creating is all in the prep, and making a good shot list is key.

So I’ve written a blog with some tips and ideas to get your planning juices flowing, and share six concepts that will work for nearly every product- just adapt to make it your own.

Someone told me last week that they find testimonials really helpful. I often forget to ask for them but the absolute star that is kindly shared these words with me, so I thought I’d share them with you.

The OTHER thing people often say is that they’re not comfortable having their photo taken, and aren’t sure what to do or how to “pose” (and the whole concept feels ick). I get it, I feel the same way!

But it’s my job to help you relax and feel like you’re in good hands during our shoot.

Hi! I’m Meg. I work with small businesses and creatives like you to create natural, evocative imagery to help you connect with people who love your work.

My job isn’t just to push a button- before we even get to the shoot, I help you work out what imagery you need, what you’re looking to communicate, and how we arrange a shoot to capture photos and film that really works for you.

A HUGE part of my job is helping you feel comfortable in front of the camera. I literally never hear anyone say “I love having my photo taken!” It’s always the opposite. And so helping you relax, gently directing you so we capture the images you’ll love, is absolutely part of my role.

I shoot natural portraits, lifestyle and behind-the-scenes images, and lifestyle product photography.

I also create evocative short films to catch the viewer’s eye and delve deeper into your story.

My shoot packages start at £279 for a two-hour shoot, and I also offer yearly subscriptions so you have fresh images all year round, and spread the cost. These start from £85/month.

Other random things about me:
- I was born in Tennessee and grew up in the US, moved to the UK when I was 20.
- My favourite thing to put on toast is peanut butter and bananas
- I swear a fair bit in real life
- I have loved the colour dusty blush pink for literally decades and am always slightly chagrined when it’s in fashion (like now), but on the other hand it means I can buy All The Things in my favourite colour so…. I’ll take it!
