Born out of the underground film camera scene and often involving themes linking music, graffiti, daytrippers and momentary quiet contemplation, Fotobes is known for his colourful 'of our time' style and repre

sentation. Film photography places an emphasis on ensuring the picture is right in the first place and then imperfections are embraced once the film is developed. The world around us is not air-brushed, and Fotobes uses film as he feel this gives photographs more character, in the same way that whilst listening to music on vinyl isn’t as “perfect” as CD or digital, it has more soul.
