Yet another one gone to that gig somewhere else - this time, one of the truly great British artists who I had the utmost pleasure to meet, and photograph, almost a quarter of a century ago... RIP, Peter Green, play on....

Cheers Phil, you were truly one of the best.

This was taken behind the old Marquee in Wardour St. He produced the bottle and a couple of glasses although it was only mid-morning. Almost 30 years later I met him again at Brighton's Concorde 2, where I was keeping my eye in as the house photographer, and reminded him of the occasion. The Borderline will close in August this year, due to greedy landlords and absurd business rates. I did a lot of gigs there in the 80s and 90s with many shots on the "wall of fame", including these of action-man Bruce Willis taken on 8th May 1996.
