Some moments in life arrive quietly.

After 904 hours at the drawing board, countless layers of graphite and an unwavering commitment to every detail, I am incredibly proud to share that my drawing has been selected as a finalist in Wildlife Artist of the Year 2026.

To have my work recognised by the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation and exhibited at the Mall Galleries in London is a genuine honour.

Wildlife art is far more than the pursuit of technical accuracy. It is about observation, patience and developing a deeper appreciation for the natural world. If my work encourages even one person to pause, look closer and value the wildlife around us, then the drawing has served its purpose.

My sincere thanks to everyone who has supported, encouraged and followed this journey.

As Only a Cat Can

Two years.
Nine hundred and four hours.
Countless quiet moments where the world faded, and it was just graphite, paper… and patience.

No grids to guide me.
No tracing to lean on.
No shortcuts, no AI.

Just the slow, deliberate rhythm of hand and eye learning to understand something that cannot be taught - the presence of a cat.

Drawn from four photographs, but shaped by something deeper…
Because a cat is never just seen. It is felt. Observed in fragments. Understood in stillness.

Every line here carries time.
Every shadow holds intention.
Every detail, a conversation between artist and subject that words could never quite reach.
