This is Mal (they/them) and Tisse’s (they/them) THIRD wedding celebration. And as someone recently double-wedded I can confirm that they only get better and better!

These two contacted me long before they had a date set (my fav way ya’ll get in touch - it means there’s no chance I’m gonna be booked!) and asked me ‘when are you free in 2026?’ I was so excited when they settled on 3 Locks Brewery as their venue. Having spent a lot of my teen years stomping around Camden in search of band shirt and studded belts at the market, it makes my heart happy to return and capture your love stories here.

They got ready at their beautiful home with pals - enjoying cheese and wine on the balcony, getting dressed into outfits made my friend, before heading to the venue to greet guests. The ceremony led by the INCREDIBLE began with a ‘hymn’ (I’m a believer) and set the tone for the day: good vibes only. Speeches happened over a vegan buffet of dreams and as the sun set we gathered everyone on the staircase overlooking the canal for an epic group shot.

I had my wondeful mentee Jade Williamson with me shadowing this one - and was so proud to be able to show her the kind of days I get to spend my time capturing. Mal & Tisse are undeniably made for each and when you work with people this in love, this aligned with your values, it’s simply a dream 🌱

Huge shout out to the stunning florals by - a prize they won in the raffle!

I met Reign (she/they) and Leigh (she/her) when they were guests at the amazing Bridport wedding of Lauren & Ben last summer. I adored how colourful and vibrant they both were and after spending the day with them and learning more about their beautiful story I knew I had to work with them in some capacity.

When I began building my 2026 mentoring cohort and thinking about including a shoot day they immediately sprang to mind and I was so grateful when they agreed to be my guinea pig couple 🧡

I asked R&L where they would like to shoot and they suggested the lakes by their house were they regularly spend time and is easily accessible from them. My mentees and I rocked up an hour before the session to do a reccy of the area and were blown away by the beauty of this total hidden gem. Full of baby geese, gorgeous cows and my favourite sound in the world - birdsong and leaves harmonising in the wind. The nature walk was the best way to ease our nerves and excitement about the session ahead and ground ourselves into what was important: capturing the genuine, authentic love between two gorgeous souls 🍃

My goals for this session were to introduce the magic of this pair to as many people as I could, and to alleviate the fears that a lot of photographers have around working with disabled folk. Proof that there is never need for any posing at all, and that we truly can create magic through popping our subjects into beautiful spaces where they feel comfortable and letting them be. Gentle direction such as ‘if you feel comfortable to, have a little nuzzle in with each other’ is about as ‘posed’ as I ever get. Creating a safe space, chatting about Disney and Danger Swans and learning what Labubu’s aren’t is all we ever need to achieve beautiful photos that tell real stories 🌱

Reign and Leigh’s story is one that can remind us all what is important. Go give them a follow. Perhaps we can all help make their dream of a ten year vow renewal in Disneyland a realty 🧡🩷

Go check out the full set of images on ma blog now and follow my mentees (tagged) so see their images from this shoot too!

It’s been a month or so of enquiries and then *crickets* so rather than delve into a spiral of ‘AM I AWFUL’ I woke up and read through my 122 five star google reviews and reminded myself of two things:

🧡 I am not for everyone
🩷 The right people always find me

So if you’ve sent an enquiry and hesitated on replying, did the zoom and disappeared, or are holding off getting in contact all together, have a read through of these. I am hoping your gut will let ya know the answer by the time you reach the end 🍃

And for full transparency I am 50% booked for 2027 (we deregistered for VAT this year cos I ain’t about the hustle life anymore, so that means we’ve booked 15 full days out of 30 MAX) and 2026 books are very much closed. So if ya wanna join this group of beautiful humans, ya know where to find me 💛

*Airport thought*

‘But who is going to take your wedding photos?’

A question I was asked hundreds of times over the last couple of years. And it was only ever going to be aka

Because I practice what I preach! Because to me the most important thing was feeling safe and held. The photos were secondary.

We planned a wedding that made us feel amazing. We hired just two suppliers - Ami and India (our celebrant who will have our own designated post very soon!) - who we trusted with our whole hearts to tell our story. We did nothing that didn’t align with our souls. We invited the family that we could be unmasked in front of. We spent four days basking in all that love.

It felt like eleven years and five hundred weddings of knowledge were all for this. To discard everything that wasn’t joy. True presence.

Feet on the ground
Head in the sky

(And bloody hell have you ever seen photos so phenomenal?!)

OUT OF OFFICE

Hopping on a flight to go get married (again)! This time to Lisbon - the city we got engaged in, in fact, the exact hotel, to spend three days with our families and celebrate them as much as us. Can’t wait for our ceremony from that I already know is going to be the best part of the whole weekend!

Pics from our legal bit in Brighton from my pal who is every bit as beautiful as her work 🧡

See ya on the flip side of being double-married. Oh and we exchanged on our dream house yesterday too, what a week?!

We’ve been living in Folkestone for nine months now (where has the time gone?!) and I’ve been desperate to showcase how vibrant, diverse and GAY AS F**K this beautiful town is becoming.

Enter Meli (she/her) & Becca (she/her). Meli grew up here and like so many folk who lived in Folkestone ten or twenty years ago has a complex relationship with this area.

Moving here from Brighton was a culture shock at first. When the flags went up overnight I felt sick. We were used to being surrounded with symbols of pride and now when we looked up we saw St George’s flag. We missed the rainbows.

It didn’t take long to discover that although this part of the country feels heavily rooted in Reform, there is q***rness all around. Folkestone Bookshop is at the heart of it all. This space is a haven - a beacon of the community - and I was so excited to bring M & B here and share that feeling of belonging with them.

I got so used to shooting my pre-weds in Brighton and knowing what a safe space it was to be openly q***r. It is so important to me that my clients feel safe, and I’m happily shouting from the rooftops that this small town surrounded by green might not be as widely known as Brighton or Margate, but it’s just as bustling with beautiful LGBTQIA+ communities.

Thank you of allowing us to capture photos in your gorgeous space 💛

When I set the prompt ‘one photo one story’ for today I know I had a photo in mind…can I remember what it was? NAH MATE.

So I picked a photo at random (by scrolling as fast as I could through the 827473882 photos on my laptop and landed on this one.

I love this story.

It was a sunny day in June with a high chance of rain at some point. Zoe and Griff prepared by buying a tonne of clear umbrellas for their 100 guest outdoor ceremony in the woodlands about a ten minute walk from shelter. It was gloriously sunny until about half way through when a guest of wind shattered the 100 glasses of fizz sat ready for them on the bridge.

Then came the rain.

Mid way through their vows they attempted to carry on as guests opened those brollies. But this rain was relentless. Griff looked at Zoe, Zoe looked at Griff, they knew - RUN!

And so fled 100 people in the BEST spirits.

Guess who the meatball was that hadn’t picked up an umbrella? Me. As I was taking this photo - drenched to the bone, a guest shoved their raincoat on me. I have no idea which man it was but he absolutely saved my cameras and therefore the rest of the wedding. I never found out who it was…and I hope the cost was retuned to him.

This wedding was such a game changer for me. It’s when I really found my storytelling soul. Working in bonkers weather that changed from dark to light, wet to dry, all day long. It was also a lesson in humanity. The rain was everyone’s favourite thing. It was so funny, so fun, everyone embracing the chaos and laughing at their soaked hair and outfits.

We gathered back up in the barn to finish the ceremony (I ran my lenses under a hand dryer and had a fresh outfit in the car - denim jumpsuits are what not to wear in torrential rain) and the rain cleared up in time for a gloriously sunny confetti moment.

This photo is one of my favourite I’ve ever taken.
