April's key image in the 2026 Brighton & Hove calendar is this stunning drone shot by Gabriel Ondo-Estok. We quite often get smothered by a blanket sea mist in Brighton during April, so this view of it was quite illuminating. Nice one Gabriel.

Some "Fun" images from the March spread in the 2026 Brighton & Hove Calendar - Oliver Curson's simple twist of the Turbo rollercoaster on Brighton Palace Pier, Andy Gardner Photographys action Waltzer shot and Lou Gilbert's Bride on a Ride picture. We're looking forward to seeing what pictures are submitted for next year's calendar. Keep snapping everyone.

This week the carousel on Brighton seafront went back up again after a long wet winter, so it's the perfect excuse to reshare this great image from Chris Harrison - currently gracing the March 2026 spread (and the cover) in the Brighton & Hove calendar. He's been out again this year, check out his insta for this year's take on Brighton's official first day of Spring

If your stocking was lacking a Brighton calendar this Christmas, here are four wonderful retailers in Brighton that will be stocking them into the New Year. Beardman in Kensington Gardens, City Books in Western Road, Brighton Photography by the i360 and Colourstream in St James Street.

Thanks to everyone who has bought one (or two, three or four). Have a great New Year.

For December's spread in the Brighton and Hove Calendar we've featured Burning the Clocks which will be back after taking a fallow year in 2025. Photos by David captured this great shot of the Lego Spaceman, star of last years Voyager spaceship themed parade.

Andrew Hasson captured Burning the Clocks parade regular, Rosaria Gracia, leading her team of dancers through the Lanes.

The Christmas tree at Brighton Palace Pier took a bit of a tumble as high winds hit Brighton. It wasn’t long before it was up again. Photo by Alex Bamford

Louise Yates photographed the annual Santa Dash, a regular event on the seafront by Hove Lawns and a regular in the Brighton Calendar.

There are still a couple of days to get your calendars before Christmas, either online or at Beardman's stall in Kensington Gardens, City Books, Brighton Photography, Colourstream or Artist Anon's pop up in Churchill Square.

As the days shorten and the nights draw in, November's spread in the Brighton Calendar goes a bit nocturnal.

This striking image of the rising full moon by Michael Steven Harris - Brighton Astro was taken from 15km away in Worthing with a 600mm telephoto lens (this is a crop of the full image). It was low tide at the time which allowed the dog walker to walk out as far as he did. We love the way the seagull lines up at the top of the sun making it look like a giant orange.

Andy Gardner Photography has recently been experimenting with lenses bought at car boot sales. This shot, taken by the Brighton Music Hall on the seafront, perfectly shows off the vintage feel you can get from using old glass on a new camera.

Finn Hopson of Brighton Photography captured this intriguing image of the West Pier on the steps up from his photography gallery, in the arches by the i360.

Charlie Clarke did a great job lining up the moon with the outstretched hand on this sculpture, Flight of the Langoustine, situated on Hove Plinth.

Love them or loathe them, gulls are very much an intrinsic part of Brighton life so we've devoted our October spread to them

Whilst waiting for the starlings to start their sunset murmuration, James Ward Endless Horizon Photography spotted this cloud of seagulls being fed on the beach by Brighton Palace Pier.

Eagle-eyed Chris Harrison spotted the sun lighting up these two gulls’ feet on an awning above him.

Not everyone is frightened by gulls. This one met its match on the seafront. Image by Paul Cahill.

This gull gets a withering look as it begs for scraps at the Palm Court restaurant on Brighton Palace Pier. Another image by Chris Harrison.

September's spread in the Brighton & Hove calendar is given over to the demise of one of Brighton's institutions. The Guitar, Amp & Keyboard Centre (GAK) was one of the first clients to commission art duo The Postman in 2018. Every Spring after they added new artworks to their mural. Sadly, last year GAK closed for business. The Postman took this photo of Debbie Harry and (half of) Amy Winehouse, as they attempted to salvage as many of their iconic artworks as possible.

Lucy & Yak commissioned Lucy Humphrey to decorate their new flagship store in GAK’s old building, nicely continuing the tradition of supporting local artists and creating a new focal point at the end of Gardner Street. Photo by Alex Bamford.

The August Brighton & Hove Calendar spread is devoted to Brighton Pride, singularly the most popular visitor attraction in the City’s event calendar giving a £22.5m boost to the City’s economy over Pride weekend. Chris Harrison got right in on the action as the Pride Parade got ready to set off from Hove Lawns.

Simon Dack perfectly encapsulated the Pride Parade into one image with this fabulous photograph taken in West Street.

Brighton Pavilion’s Colour exhibition playfully told the chromatic history of the Georgian era. Image by Andrew Hasson.

Mariah Carey headlined in Preston Park but also put in an appearance on the parade. Again, nicely spotted by Chris Harrison
