For Remembrance weekend here is a short tour of D-Day 80 statues that were part of the commemorations at the British Normandy Memorial in June. It was incredibly peaceful on the side of the hill overlooking the channel. One can only imagine the horror that was unfounding on that hill in 1944.

Where else would you want to celebrate Joey's birthday on a wet and windy Wednesday other than in the depths of deepest Dorset at the warm and cozy tasting room at Dorset Nectar Cider Farm. We were also treated to the prettiest birthday cupcakes made by Geneva at Landfall Larder.
