Photography has always been a much loved hobby in my life starting with landscape photography on a standard digital camera and over time progressing into people and wedding photography with my trusty Nikon DSLR. My photography style is natural, laid back and fun with the odd set up shot thrown in for good measure. The phrase “tying the knot” to mean getting married originates from the ancient Celtic custom of handfasting, where the hands of the couple were literally tied together during a wedding ceremony. This physical act symbolised their commitment and unity.

I had the pleasure of photographing the handfasting of Heidi and Darrell at their wedding at Hunstile farm.
