People often ask 'what happened next' and 'how have Wynford's curlews gotten on this year'? Well this year you can find out for your self because Curlew Country are streaming their nest LIVE! The male is the very same one that featured in the film, but he's got a new female and 4 beautiful eggs. Fingers crossed they'll be hatching in a few weeks time and in the mean time we can glimpse an almost never seen insight into this illusive species' world.

For my Masters in Wildlife Filmmaking I am producing a film following the fate of a farmer and his nest of curlews- a bird in rapid decline in our countryside. Yesterday, finally the chicks hatched! We got an intimate view of the chicks as they were being tagged by the conservationists, but now the odds are shifted for these little birds. The chances of these tiny chicks surviving to fledging stage on farmland is tiny- the main issue that will tip these birds over the edge into extinction in our countryside.

Please help support the making of this film to help me get the message out there about the issues surrounding this species' conservation and what it will take if we want to keep them in our countryside!

What a spectacular place to be making a film! Sunset over the Shropshire Hills looking from the Striperstones. A great place for time lapses!

One of the many gorgeous black-tailed godwits I saw yesterday at Shapwick Heath NNR- also got some great views of marsh harriers, bittern and my first ever hobby in the blazing sunshine!
