Yesterday I was more than happy to dust off the old camera and visit the pave the way festival in the very sunny Bridgwater. I got in late but managed to see both of the bands I really wanted to see. First were the Rocker Covers on Eastover who were as good as the last time I saw them.
Them I ventured to Angel Crescent which, it turns out, is great place to place a stage to see Shoot The Moon. On arrival I was presented with a lovely fire performer who had all the kids mesmerised by her performance (even the big ones).
All in all it was a great little event which I hope will become a regular thing as events like these are definitely a plus to bring people into town.

Last week, as well as entering a couple of categories at Wessex Beardsmen competition (winning one and placing third in the other), I was privileged to be trusted once more to create a series of portraits of all the participants and whoever else fancied having their picture taken on the day.
To say that I love shooting those events would be an understatement and to top it all it's made all the more worthwhile as we raised over £600 for Zellweger UK

Saturday I did a thing. As well as competing in The Wessex Beardsmen competition in The 94 club (and winning my class 😀), I was charged to shoot the competitors official portraits. Here are a few of my favourites from the day. The full gallery should be uploaded shortly onto the Wessex Beardsmen page and onto my website towards the end of the week.

Good news! The Wessex Beardsmen are back and have invited me to once more officiate as their official portrait photographer for their upcoming competition.
As their president would say, happy days... 😃

Wow what a scorching weekend at Costa del Clay Pigeon Raceway .

Formula Blue UK Seniors was a small grid this time, however still a tough drive.

Mixed heats... Winning then, mechanical issues (well mechanic) meaning I was down to start 5th for the final.

It was a good push to catch up to the leader, and I had fastest lap. Literally just pipped to the post and came home with 2nd.

Sport England does not recognise motorsport as a sport. If it was, it would have more funding and would be more accessible to competitors and fans.

I am now a published motorsport photographer with a full page profile in Digital Camera. This has a slightly larger circulation than the now defunct MSA magazine (or has it???). 🤔
